ABOV Athens

It is right at the centre of activities: shopping, food, sightseeings. And safe neighborhood even for early morning outings! The only thing is to be careful at bathroom for risk of slippery floor and water splash out of the bathroom.

Room was decent, comfortable and roomy. Great location, easy walk to metro and tram stop. Lots of restaurants and shops close by. Easy walk to supermarket and the sites of Athens. Hotel has limited facilities eg No laundry on site but plenty of paid laundromats within walking distance. There was a little street noice from the restaurant’s directly below the hotel but wasn’t annoying and finished quite early. Staff were very friendly and you could store your luggage both before checking and after you checked out.

Save your money and book elsewhere. The rooms have absolutely no privacy, you can hear every sound in the hallway and streets. The walls are also incredibly dirty and look like they have not been cleaned in a long time. Also they do not provide proper amenities in the room, there was only bar soap and a 2-in-1 shampoo/body wash that were in tiny bottles (not enough for one shower). The housekeeping service was very loud at 9AM and I had to go out at 10AM to ask them to please quiet down. Our flights were cancelled due to a storm and the hotel had advised us they would be willing to provide a refund when we arrived in-person. When I inquired they said Agoda had to approve. In the end, neither party was willing to give us our money back despite there being circumstances beyond our control. Incredibly disappointing service for a hotel that claims to be 4 stars.

Great location. The bathroom door was very broken and wasn't able to even come close to closing- so 0 bathroom privacy. Room was very basic and not totally clean. Was okay for 1 night if you have low expectations.
