Large apartment. Beds are not too bad. Quiet. Well kept gardens to the front. Good location

Apartment 9 needs updating. Paint and picture missing off walls, exposed nails Bad smell from the sink in the kitchen. Dirty glasses and cracked. Fridge needed a better clean. Coasters in the living room covered in tea and coffee stains. The cleaner is definitely letting this business down. Did send owners an email before writing this review hoped they would reply, but never did.

Good location but let down by property

Good location

The accommodation room2 was not available on time of our arrival,we had 3 young children waiting outside for quite some time. There is no dvd player,cd player or satellite channels as advertised. The apartment was very unclean and worn down I have taken photos to show this. I did contact the property on our stay to deal with these issues but there was no reply.

unlike other apartments previously visited- this was our third visit, the kitchen was badly equipped,broken bin, no coffee making equipment,no wine glasses, broken shelf in fridge door, basically below what we had previously experienced.

Great location, great example of typical St Annes building but a bit tired and needing some TLC

The location is good for StAnnes and Lytham, the beach is only a short walk away. The actual building and gardens are lovely.

We felt the cleanliness was poor, the carpets didn't appear to have been done properly recently. The apartment generally felt a bit tired and the furniture in the main bedroom was very poor, the wardrobe was falling apart and not fit for purpose. Having stayed there previously we had a benchmark and it had deteriorated significantly compared to when we stayed there before.

Location good, quiet, easy to find and free parking

Wardrobe in main bedroom badly damaged and unsightly. Shower head wouldn’t stay in holder so we had to hold the shower head in one hand at all times while showering otherwise the bathroom would flood.

From the outside it looked lovely. Parking good.

No hot water. Shower - did not use as ingrained and old filth. Very smelly bathroom. Dirt and damp visible on wallpaper etc. Grubby cutlery. Whole place smelt musty.

Clean and tidy, 2 bedrooms and space to socialise.

Couldn't get the shower cool enough! ( unless I wanted a cold shower) That meant wasting hot water.

It was ok for two nights but would definitely not of wanted to stay any longer.

Excellent location. Nice decor.

Lots of stairs and a few steps inside the accommodation so definitely not suitable if you have mobility issues. Nowhere to empty the bin. Very small bathroom . Even though there were four beds the size of the apartment is more suitable for two adults. Windows were locked open so couldn't close/ open them which was not at all acceptable. We were very cold.

The location was ideal for what we wanted

The bathroom window wouldn’t close as it was broken . The shower head wouldn’t stay in its holder so was difficult to shower with one hand . The single bed is needing replaced as it lies at an angle and wasn’t comfortable.

Enjoyable few days at the Old School House

Spacious lounge and bedroom. Nice touch leaving things like tea, coffee, biscuits etc. Great having discounted restaurant vouchers.

Location and exterior were beautiful

Interior was very dated and the sofa was stained, bathroom had strange black mould round the bath. Kitchen needs an overhaul, after saying that we still enjoyed our stay as Lytham is beautiful. This apartment needs a revamp (number 3)

location brilliant, close to all amenities.

The appartment had a few problems shower wasnt working, wouldnt stay up. The window was broken couldnt shut or open. The drawers in the big wardrobe were broken, not usable and on the last day the wardrobe door fell on me as I tried to open it. I did inform Mode but nothing done, did offer different appartment on our last day but too late to move.

Great location for the beach, shops and restaurants. Apartment well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Beds were comfortable and the lounge area was cosy. Booking and checking in was easy

Great location and nice spacious apartment. Comfortable beds and nice big fluffy towels in the bathroom. This was our second stay.

Some of the furniture/carpet a little tired and could do with replacing. There was a step inside the apartment which is a bit of a tripping hazard.

Underwhelming

The gardens and the fact that the property was warm. The location was excellent and quiet.

The shower was terrible, (and quite dangerous without a slip mat) despite the duty manager telling us it had been replaced 3 months ago. The shower is an important aspect of any stay. The bay window has damp under it where you eat your food at the table. The wine glasses were not clean. The decor and furniture is dates and tired. This is NOT a deluxe apartment as it is described in the advert. We were given a partial refund which was appreciated but doesn’t hid the fact that this particular apartment is over priced and misrepresented!

Poor I would not recommend to friends

We liked the position of ye property and the look.

First room we stayed in had No hot water leak in bedroom waking up to water dripping onto the bed. Showers were rubbish. Complete lack of empathy from staff had to be moved at another room which originally I was told there wasn’t one. Staff where supposed to contact us to say other room was ready but this never happened the customer service is diabolical if we hadn’t have been here with family I would have walked out and requested my money back a complete shambles

Lovely apartment great location

Loved the property we had ground floor one bed apt lovely view over immaculate front garden. Everything we needed for our stay, very clean and well presented. Only comment I could make is perhaps a handrail in bath/shower for us older ones who may struggle getting in and out of bath to shower. Close to all amenities and bust stop on next corner if you want to park car at apt and just use public transport in to Lytham.
