Nagyon aranyos kis ház, felszereltség tökéletes! Sétatávolságra van Funchal Óvárosától. Mindennel feslszerelt, melegvízű medence a ház mellett.

La maison est vraiment super, très bien équipée, parfait pour une petite famille, emplacement au calme, en dehors de l’euphorie de la ville. La vue est à couper le souffle sur la mer. Parfaitement équipée. Très bonne communication. Je recommande.

Nous avons malheureusement subis de très gros travaux de la route durant nos 6 jours juste devant la maison, ils ont refait le bitume avec des marteau-piqueurs des 7h50 et ce jusqu’à 19 heures le soir, y compris le jour férié et le samedi. Au point de ne pas pouvoir rester sur la terrasse et laisser les fenêtres ouvertes, ou de pouvoir profiter de la piscine la journée, tant le bruit était insupportable. Nous avons conscience que les propriétaires ne sont pas responsables et elles nous ont remboursé une nuit en dédommagement mais franchement c’était un enfer … quel dommage !

Location was a relatively easy walk to town, though hill is a bit steep. The small space was very well utilized. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies, including spices. The hosts were very attentive around check-in details and left a thoughtful, generous welcome gift. They also very kindly allowed us to check in early and warned us about possible noise from "neighbors next door remodeling their home" and left ear plugs. This was very considerate. Madeira is swamped with cruise ships. Being able to escape the hordes was truly wonderful! The A/C was lovely.

The location description implies you are near the shore, which geographically is true; but in fact, there is a 24-hour armed gate preventing access -- complete with obtrusive, glaring prison-like lights shining on the pool and outdoor area, completely ruining any nighttime ambiance and necessitating use of shutters. Also, leaving only 1 roll of toilet paper seemed bizarre/inconsiderate, especially as nearest convenience store is inconvenient at best without a car. We would have preferred a 3 day stock of TP rather than a souvenir style sugar cane sample box. Also, the pool was not clean, verging on unsanitary. Green mold along water edge, black mold under floating stairs, along with foam on surface from unbalanced PH. Given added cleaning surcharge, requesting us to bus our garbage and recycling around the neighborhood to bins felt a bit insulting. Photos below are of us trying to unsuccessfully check out the super moon, but only seeing the military like installation lights mounted at every possible outside angle. Also the renovations next door are really a complete commercial demolition. The noise was less of an issue than the toxic dust that seemed to stay in our lungs for a few days after we left (concrete, asbestos, lead...don't really know, but couldn't breathe and had to close all windows/doors during prime time.)
