CASA DO MIRADOURO 6 by Heart of Funchal

Brand new feeling. Stylish, functional,clean, well appointed.

Due to the hills there is not much that is walkable. However, the enclosed private garage was attached to the unit so no parking hassles.

We were a group of six friends staying at this villa in Funchal for a week, and overall, we had a great experience. The villa is beautifully furnished, spacious, and offers a lovely view over the city and ocean — perfect for enjoying a morning coffee or relax by the pool. The pool itself was a highlight — clean, well-maintained, and a great place to relax after exploring the island. The location is fairly central, just a 10–15 minute walk to downtown However, be prepared for the uphill walk back — Funchal is full of hills! Overall, a great base for exploring Madeira with friends — just be ready for a bit of a workout on the hills!

A couple of things to note: the villa isn’t cleaned during the stay, but when we requested fresh towels, more toilet paper, and extra coffee, the hosts were quick to respond and delivered everything the same day. Excellent service on that front! The only real challenge was finding the villa initially. Google Maps struggled a bit with the exact location, so if you’re renting a car (which we recommend), be prepared for a little extra patience when arriving.

It was very clean & spacious, everything you could need was provided, the welcome bottle of wine/fruit/local biscuits was a nice little touch & appreciated 😋

Honestly, I can’t think of anything & there is usually at least one issue on our trips away, so thumbs up to this accommodation 👍
