We were three couples, and the villa suited us totally. Lovely lounge and balcony with all the streaming services on the TV. Great kitchen and bathrooms, and the villa was cleaned during our stay. The Hearts of Funchal staff were always at the end of the phone, plus WhatsApp if you needed them. Good internet. The coffee machine and the provided coffee were much appreciated. Good location, 10 minutes from the bars and restaurants of the Old Town and the cable car. The swimming pool was much enjoyed at the end of a hot day of getting out and about.
Make sure you are fit! The villa is at the top of a hill with a steep stretch at the end. However, taxis are plentiful, and if bills are split, a taxi is cheaper than the bus. There are only six pool sunloungers for all the apartments, and road noise can be a bit disturbing.

Brand new feeling. Stylish, functional, clean, well appointed.
Due to the hills there is not much that is walkable. However, the enclosed private garage was attached to the unit so no parking hassles.
