Overall the apartment was perfect for our needs. The location was excellent & in a nice area of town. The train station was very close to have trips into Madrid. Grocery stores and restaurants were close by. Like all the neighboring apartments, there are security shutters that can be open or closed & they are great to block out the light if you want to sleep late. The owner checked in by text before we arrived to coordinate a time to get the keys to us. They also contacted us a few times, checking to see if we needed anything. The apartment was quiet & we could leave the windows open to enjoy the weather & birds outside.
The cleaning service did not do a thorough job prior to our stay, & they were also running late so we had to wait 30 minutes on the stairs for them to leave. Apparently they expect you to deal with the previous laundry (sheets & towels) on the balcony as it dries for 2 days. Maybe that is typical for the area? Also, the apartment is on the '4th' floor (essentially 5th floor since that is how they number floors in Europe with the ground floor as 0) and it is a walkup with no elevator. That was actually fine for me, but renters should know. The top floor made it so there was minimal noise in the hallway.

La experiencia no fue satisfactoria. La limpieza deja bastante que desear: tanto las sartenes como los platos estaban sucios, y los estropajos disponibles eran viejos y estaban en mal estado, hasta el punto de que tuvimos que comprar uno nuevo. Además, en la terraza encontramos un bol de comida rápida de anteriores inquilinos, lo que da una mala impresión desde el primer momento.
Por otro lado, las mantas desprendían un fuerte olor a humedad y a rancio, algo bastante desagradable.
En cuanto al check-in, aunque estaba indicado a partir de las 16:00, avisamos de que llegaríamos entre las 16:30 y las 17:00. Aun así, cuando llegamos a las 16:30, el alojamiento no estaba listo y tuvimos que irnos a esperar, ya que no pudimos entrar hasta las 17:08.
En general, creemos que hay varios aspectos básicos que deberían mejorar, especialmente la limpieza y la organización en la entrega del alojamiento.
