Ashford Stay Parkfarm location Comfortable with Netflix to chill

We didn't actually stay at this property as there was a leak during the previous bookers stay so we were offered an alternative 3 bedroom property close to this location. The host Liz was extremely apologetic but the new property was quickly offered to compensate us. The property was 15 minutes away from the venue we were attending and easy to find, key code access was provided and the property was more than big enough for just the 2 of us staying there. It had 3 bedrooms and I stayed in the twin room which had an ensuite bathroom, the other 2 bedrooms were a good double size. The kitchen was large and had a dining table all set up and access to the back garden through the French doors. Overall a good sized property for the one night we required. I also left a water bottle in the fridge and Liz has kindly offered to return this to me, which is a nice customer service touch.

The cleaning of the property could have been better, with the glass stand for the TV covered in so much dust that someone had run their finger through it. The sofa wasn't very practical, and it was fairly worn. The 2 occasional chairs in the living room weren't very practical either and only took up space in the large living room. There was also only one ceiling light in the living room which wasn't very nice and the area could do with perhaps some table or floor standing lights for relaxing a bit more. The sugar container had obviously had wet spoons put into it as it wasn't clean and it was hard, no milk at all left in the kitchen. Although there were minor issues, it didn't detract from the spaciousness of the property and the layout overall or our stay. These may have been due to the last minute changeover from the property we were supposed to be in.

Only stayed here overnight, found the property clean and in a great location for Ashford designer Outlet and Channel Tunnel

Whilst the property was clean, we felt the fixtures & fittings were in need of an upgrade but wouldn't stop us from staying here in the future.

Garden is a mess with broken shack and rubbish, clearly not tended to. Cleaning inside was done, but what to think when a cobweb hangs from the ceiling in the living room? Stain on the sofa and dishwasher without cover: nothing catastrophic, but given the required deposit and the dog cleaning fee, this unit is clearly below its advertised standard. Noisy neighbor listening to music until 12h30, when house rules ask to stop noise at 10h00. This isn’t the owner’s fault, but it adds to the bill.
