The positives the views are great and with a local village with a great pub less than 5 minutes away The Chequers I also would recommendyou go there for your food. The property was clean and had all we needed the price was very competitive I paid a hotel the night before nearly double in Bournemouth on the Friday. Obviously different settings so of course. The ginger cat made both myself and my son laugh so much as she was very forward with coming in for attention . I would say if you need a pit stop then this is not going to cost you much and is very quiet I got an really good night sleep after a long day visiting Bovington tank museum and this had taken its toll on me so needed a decent sleep for an early morning start back to Norfolk so a long drive which this worked well for myself and my son. Lots of great feed back in their guest note pad..overall I'd recommend it to anyone on a budget i should say my son slept in the main room i used the pull out sofa bed the last time I slept on one i was about 25 I'm now 60 so a grumpy old man. The main room was spacious and had the best views over fields horses and rolling hills.
So this is something to note maybe I missed it due to the planning for my Bovington tank museum visit taking priority that you need to pay a £100 damage deposit before you commence your access to the property. I got messages but with everything else I didn't notice it until we arrived so if you okay with that then its no issue. I was refunded it in full upon inspection post departure as Eve doesn't do it whilst your at the property which I thought was odd initially but then of course if you have damaged something and she needs to retain any funds then of course you wouldn't want a confrontation in your home. The initial impressions where it reminded me of a older farm house my wife and I stayed in Cornwall the previous month so it could do with a few touch ups to bring the best out of it the shower is probably the most unusual as its essentiallya cornerof the room.. I go to a lot of hotels due to my hob so I am probably just overly spoiled with expectations my wife said the place looked really clean and lovely from the photos. My wife grew up on a farm so always reminds me I'm a townie and shouldn't think everything should be perfect. I never met the host so that is thd only reason for a couple of slightly lower scores but thats just me as I like to be personally welcomed in by a host I understand its not for every host and we arrived at about 7pm.

Good location, good layout. The scenery is beautiful. Lovely to have the horses, coming over for a stroke
If I’m really picky, the bathroom perhaps is in need of refurb.

The bed was really comfortable, and it was extremely quiet: not a sound from traffic.
The father of the owner met us on arrival just after 6pm and said that his daughter had been taken into hospital which was why he was there. He said that that the heating is set to be on from 6pm to 9pm. The accommodation was really, really cold - I can only assume that heating hadn't been on for a long time: there was an electric convector heater in the bedroom and we took it through to the lounge whilst we were in there. It took ages for hot water to come through in any of the taps, and the bathroom shower and curtain needs updating. There was no heating when we got up the following morning, so we left an hour earlier than we needed to just so that we could warm up in the car! All in all, £85 for this accommodation is very over-priced., and it is in need of some serious updating overall.
