De Kothuize 2

Excellent accommodation that is seriously being undersold in my opinion. Nice surprise to discover that it has WIFI although this is not being advertised. Would be wise to update platforms to reflect this as potential guests could be lost as a result. I would rate this accommodation in the 'upmarket bracket' compared to other accommodation in the price range in the area. Pictures don't do it justice as it is much nicer and more spacious than it appears on the listing. Would have scored it a perfect 10 if it wasn't for the road noise. This is however to be expected as it is centrally located in town next to a busy road but I would still recommend it as there are other cottages further up the road where it should be quieter. The advantage of the location on the other hand is that it is close to everything eg. museums and restaurants within a short walking distance. Liked it so much, we stayed an extra night.

Road noise but as stated above I would still recommend it.

Convenient and safe parking for our off-road camper and vehicles. The property was neat and tidy.

The weber braai was a bit small for 4 adults and the fire starters and briquettes provided were not enough. They should suggest you bring your own.

On busy road

The cottage was clen and spacious.

We have stayed at De Kotzhuise on several occasions before but were very disappointed with the position of De Kothuise No.2 - it is on the corner and borders the main road which is exceptionally noisy. If you are a light sleeper or tired from travelling, I suggest you request any of the other cottages further up the street. The bed in the main bedroom is also very hard and creaky - not our best nights sleep.
