Great communication with host. Very comfortable beds. Accommodation was very clean. The tea/coffee facilities were very welcome. Great power in the shower - much appreciated!
Perhaps 2 double beds in the room was a bit of a squash. We could have done with a second chair instead and rubbish bin in the room

Gala House Strandhill is a decent option for a short stay, offering a practical and convenient base for exploring the area. Its location is a major plus—situated right above the Gala store, it’s just a short 500-meter walk to the beautiful Strandhill beach and all the local amenities.
The host was very responsive to our messages and was kind enough to take our suitcases before the official check-in time, which was a huge help. We had also booked and paid for an early check-in option, but wasn't able and no needed to use it.
The room we stayed in was clean and well-maintained, and while not brand new, it was comfortable for our short visit. The bed and pillows were comfy, and it provided a small but sufficient amount of space for two people. Toiletries and two towels were also provided.
It was a hot day when we checked in, so the room was quite warm, and we kept the windows open during the night. We were able to hear people in other rooms and walking around, but it was not overly disturbing and didn't impact our sleep.
Temperature and bit of noise. But overall, if you're looking for a simple, no-frills place to stay with a great location and a responsive host, Gala House Strandhill is a solid choice.
