The accommodation itself was perfect and just as described in a quiet location, but close to all facilities.

The reason I gave a 9, not a 10 is not because anything was wrong with the property, but because of communications. On booking, I received an absolute deluge of emails from both Booking.com and the host. Some were duplicates, some conflicted with eachother, which became very confusing. In particular, after the booking had been confirmed, I received one message saying I would have to pay a 20% deposit, followed by another saying this would not be necessary. Then on the day we were leaving home to travel to France I received another message saying 'to confirm your reservation, we require you to add your credit card for Refundable Security Deposit.' At this point I had no choice but to comply as I would have struggled to book anywhere else by then. Also, I do not expect hosts to have to clear up a mess after I’ve stayed, but I do think it’s reasonable if you’re hiring out a property that you’ll do some cleaning in between guests, so I was surprised to find an email after I’d left indicating that I would lose the deposit if the property wasn’t absolutely spotless. (The email had been sent prior to our departure, but I don’t go on holiday to be constantly checking messages, so didn’t find it till afterwards.) It would have been helpful to have had this information on booking, or when the deposit was requested rather than at the last minute. Also, it would seem that we left the property clean enough, as so far the deposit hasn’t been taking, but it would have been reassuring to have confirmation of this. I write all this in the hope that it’s constructive information that might help the host improve communications in the future; overall, we loved the property, but the difficulties did add a layer of stress to our stay.

La location est dans un quartier calme et à proximité de la plage. Propreté impeccable. Propriétaire agréable et arrangeante.

Les matelas étaient un peu durs pour nous mais ça dépend de chaque personne et de son habitude au quotidien..
