In the heart of the Vulkaneifel, in Gerolstein, you’ll find our lovingly and recently renovated vacation rental. Surrounded by nature and numerous hiking trails, it offers the ideal starting point for discovering the beauty of the Eifel and its many attractions.
The vacation rental is located above the “city of fountains,” Gerolstein, in an excellent location. From the vacation rental, you’ll enjoy a fantastic view of the dolomite cliffs. These cliffs are the remains of a sea that covered the Gerolstein region 380 million years ago.
The ninth stage of the Eifelsteig ends in Gerolstein after hiking from Hillesheim. From our vacation rental, it’s especially convenient to continue on to the tenth stage of the Eifelsteig from Gerolstein to Daun. Our lodging is designed in a minimalist style and, together with the sauna, offers the ideal opportunity to recharge your batteries.
The Löwenburg castle ruins are within walking distance. The castle was destroyed in 1691. An 11-high shield wall still serves as a reminder of the medieval castle today. The castle ruins are open year-round and offer a magnificent view over Gerolstein.
Other highlights include the Pelmer Kasselburg. There you’ll find a very well-preserved castle with birds of prey and wolves. At the Daun Wildlife and Adventure Park, you can take an 8-kilometer safari tour in your own car. A large playground for children and a 6-hectare monkey enclosure are also part of the park.

House Rules
1. Furnishings and Damage
Please treat our furnishings with care. Please return used dishes to the cabinets clean and dry, close the dishwasher, and dispose of trash in the black trash can in the garage. If any damage occurs to furniture or furnishings, please inform us immediately so we can repair it.
2. Noise Levels and Quiet Hours
Please be considerate of our neighbors and keep the volume of music or TV at a reasonable level. Quiet hours begin at 10:00 p.m.
3. Visitors
Your visitors are welcome in our vacation home. However, you are not permitted to allow unannounced guests to stay overnight. If the number of guests changes, please let us know in advance so that we can prepare the vacation rental accordingly.
4. Smoking
Smoking is strictly prohibited throughout the entire property.
Smoking is only permitted in the fully open outdoor area. Please keep doors and windows closed to prevent smoke from entering the house.
If a smoke odor does develop in the property, we will have to charge you for the resulting special cleaning costs (e.g., ozone treatment).
5. Pets
Pets are not permitted in our vacation home.
6. Security and Valuables
Before leaving the vacation home, close all windows and the front door and turn off all electronic devices. We assume no liability for the loss of valuables during your stay.
7. Cleaning
Our cleaning service will perform the final cleaning after your departure. However, please clean up any major messes in advance and leave the apartment swept clean.
8. Environment
We care about the environment. Please turn off lights and electronic devices when they are not in use, and conserve water. Thank you very much!
9. Electric Cars—Charging
Charging electric cars using the property’s electrical system is not permitted.
10. Candlelight
Lighting candles is strictly prohibited in the vacation rental.
11. Garage Use
The garage is intended exclusively for storing bicycles and is not suitable for parking cars. Please use the designated parking spaces in front of the vacation rental to park your vehicle.
House Rules for the Sauna
1. Health & Use
Use of the sauna is at your own risk. Please be mindful of your well-being and leave the sauna immediately if you feel unwell. Individuals with health conditions should consult a doctor beforehand.
2. Hygiene
Please shower before using the sauna and use a large towel as a mat on the benches. You may enter the sauna in swimwear, but do not place wet swimwear on the wooden benches.
3. Temperature & Infusions
The sauna reaches high temperatures—make sure you acclimate to the heat gradually. Please use only the provided infusions, as other substances may damage the sauna or pose a safety risk.
4. Safety & Ventilation
After use, please ventilate the sauna for at least 15 minutes. The sauna door must not be left open continuously while the sauna is in operation. Please make sure the sauna is properly turned off after use.
