Loved it. And Walsall. Underappreciateded gem.

Very comfy flat, has everything I needed and very central. Has tea and coffee in the flat. Great stores and bars nearby. Also top service from the people working there, help is just one WhatsApp away.

Just a heads-up that there are steep stairs so if you got troubles with accessibility it might not be the flat for you. Also some noise from the bar next door on Saturdays so if you are staying on the weekends earplugs recommended (which I always carry along).

Absolutely awful, worst experience of accommodation. We were unstable to even stay and had to leave late at night to fin

On booking it appeared very nice and well maintained for the price.

On arrival, we were incredibly disappointed by the property and ultimately had to leave and find a hotel to stay in near by. When we arrived there was a very strong smell of food in the living room which was very unpleasant. There were smear marks over mirrors and overall if felt very grubby and cheap in terms of furniture. There were stains on the sofa bed in the living room, and the bed mattress was incredibly uncomfortable too. There were no sheets available in the apartment for the advertised sofa bed which meant we not use it for a bed which was a main reason for being unable to stay the night. There was only one functioning bed (and a poor quality one at that) and the apartment is listed as having two beds. You can’t sleep in a bed with no sheets or pillows. But beyond that we felt very vulnerable in the apartment. It was in reality in a very run down building that is boarded up on the outside and the area was extremely rough - when we arrived back after going for dinner there was clearly on street prostitution and drug taking right outside the door. Our friend who dropped us off there expressed genuine concern that we shouldn’t be staying there as two women. Once inside the building it had the feeling of being very empty and we had to walk up and along a few corridors to where we found the apartment. The door was very flimsy and once inside there was no way of being able to double lock the door from the inside to secure it and prevent someone else with a key from entering. There was a very eerie quality to the inside of the building which would have been ok if we had been able to effectively lock ourselves inside there apartment which we couldn’t do. I’ve no wish to be unpleasant about this, but it became clear that we would not have slept a wink that night because a) there was bedding b) the smell in the living room was very unpleasant c) we felt unsafe as female travellers in an apartment that we couldn’t secure internally.
