Riad Zaya Fes

Het ontbijt was matig

It was a surreal experience made brilliant by the host Youssef, the riad is stunning with a central view of the whole old city of Fes from the foyer. We were welcomed with a beautiful cup of Moroccan Tea, looked after by the host and had a full floor to ourselves, the rooms were spacious and comfortable, clean, good bathing facilities. Breakfast was good, even catered to our request for the next day. Helped us organise transfers throughout our stay. We were a family of 9, of all age groups. There is a small incline to climb as you getting out of the Riad to the taxi pickup point but you have to remember this is an amazing, 1100yr old city, the largest pedestrian zone, car free in the world. We love Fes for its architecture, people, artisan craftsman and spiritual moments you feel and this Riad did justice to our stay and memories. Thank you to all at Riad Zaya, we will be back soon God Willing.

There isn’t nothing to not like, I mentioned about the incline but my elderly parents managed it well.

L’emplacement

La struttura mi ha scritto prima di arrivare segnalandomi il parcheggio più comodo e anche di avvisarli per aiutarci a portare le valigie. Appena arrivati siamo stati accompagnati in stanza e successivamente ci è stato offerto il the’ tradizionale e ci è stata spiegata Fes, la suddivisione della Medina, in particolare Fes Antica compresa di cenni storici. La spiegazione ci è stata molto utile per orientarsi dentro le 9400 vicoli e 300 quartieri. Nessuna paura di perdersi, l’albergatore si è reso disponibile a venirci a recuperare se ci fossimo perse. Viaggiavo da sola con una bambina ed è stata una vera garanzia. Durante la serata si è preoccupato di chiederci se andasse tutto bene per la città e ci ha anche indicato le strade più importanti. Direi eccellente, ottimo!!!
