Everything was gorgeous this was our first stay at the Doni after 4 trips staying at Kairos (also exceptional) and as always the staff was the best as Silvia and Alexander always make us feel like we are coming home.
There isn’t a single thing I can say negative about it.

Recently beautifully refurbished palazzo. Very spacious room with modern amenities but stylish period decor. Very convenient location in the historical centre.
As advertised, there is no restaurant and no breakfast. Some plates and cutlery would have been useful. We ordered in one night to watch the Winter Olympics on TV and cutlery and plates were cruelly missing!

There was nothing out of place- it was immaculate. It was the biggest apartment we had across our month long Europe trip. The bed comfort and linen was 20/10. The shower head was huge and such great water pressure and temperature. We opened the windows so we could hear the church bells all day and the room temperate was still maintained.
There was nothing we didn’t love.

Everything: the location, the staff welcome and care about us, the apartment- so beautiful, clean, have more than everything to make you feel exceptional… Well done! We had excellent experience, thank you all!
Nothing - everything was perfect!

Perfect location and stunningly renovated property - wow

Our stay at Palazzo Doni was absolutely exceptional. The apartment is cozy yet spacious, beautifully renovated, and perfectly located in the heart of Florence. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and cared for — special thanks to Silvia, who was incredibly kind to me and my family and supported us with everything we needed.
The property itself is stunning: a historical palazzo with modern comforts seamlessly integrated. The rooms are tastefully decorated, immaculately clean, and equipped with everything you could possibly need — from kitchen essentials to excellent Wi-Fi. The beds were super comfortable.
Even small details, like the spacious elevator (rare in older buildings), made a big difference for us.
The location could not be better. Just steps away from Santa Croce, the Uffizi Gallery, and Piazza della Signoria, we were able to walk everywhere with ease.
Just steps away from the Conad supermarket (perfect for families or longer stays), surrounded by authentic osterias and tavernas.
Despite being so central, the apartments are quiet and peaceful, making it feel like a retreat after a day of exploring.
The apartment was perfect — plenty of space, thoughtful amenities, and a warm atmosphere. The staff were always polite, responsive over WhatsApp, and made check-in and check-out effortless.
What impressed us most was the balance between history and modernity. The palazzo carries centuries of charm, yet everything inside feels brand new and designed with comfort in mind. It truly is a hidden gem in Florence and offers incredible value for money compared to traditional hotels.
We left wishing we could have stayed longer. Without hesitation, we would return to Palazzo Doni on our next trip to Florence — and we highly recommend it to anyone seeking an unforgettable stay in this beautiful city.
Vacation was over :(.

Palazzo Doni was an absolute gem! It’s the perfect blend of modern style and historic charm, truly exceeding our expectations. The rooms are spacious, flooded with natural light, and full of character, making it feel like a home away from home.
The photos looked great, but in person, the space was even more beautiful. We stayed in a deluxe suite (Duchesa) with a view of the library across the street. Location wise, it's ideal, just a short walk (10-15 minutes) to all the major attractions, yet tucked away on a peaceful street. You really get the best of both worlds: close to everything, but still quiet enough for a relaxing stay.
They also surprised us with a bottle of wine upon arrival, which was such a thoughtful gesture. And having an in-unit washer/dryer was super convenient, definitely a nice bonus while traveling.
Silvia, truly made our stay special. She was always friendly and eager to help.
Compared to other places we stayed during our trip, Palazzo Doni stands out, great location, amazing amenities, and top tier comfort. When we’re back in Florence, this will absolutely be our first choice. Highly recommend it!

Excellent, new & clean apartment with all we need at kitchen countertop, such as oven, washing-machine etc. Location is excellent within ZTL, and paid car park garage (though not cheap in ZTL) is just within few minutes walk. 7mins walk to Uffizi & then the Cathedral / Duomo at the Centre. Mattress & pillows are comfortable. Lockers are available for storing luggage after we checkout. Thanks for the complimentary bottle of wine.
No need to think when it is available. I have read critics of many apartments, and this is the best.

We absolutely LOVED our stay here. Everything is thoughtful, beautiful design that is executed on a top level, spacious and full of light, perfect location, hassle free checkin and checkout. Own luggage storage with huge lockers, the most practical and wonderful place to stay in Florence. We will come back here whenever we visit the city.

Sophia was lovely. Great communication and advice and assistance with local restaurants etc
Our apartment was amazing.
Location was fantastic!

Even though not on site the whole time, staff was always available by text and attentive to needs. Courtyard entrance nice place to wait for taxi. Felt secure even in the heart of a busy city. I would call this a business person’s apartment. Great bed and bath, kitchenette marginal. Microwave the lest intuitive I’ve ever experienced!
Windows needed screens-no protection against mosquitos. HVAC system really whacky- the whole building either had to have AC or heat, despite the weather, no individualized thermostats.

Central location, not more than 10-15 mins walk from all popular attraction. Quiet and safe location. The hotel is fully updated and modern inside. The room/suite we had “Ducato”, was very well equipped for cooking with all modern appliances. The front desk was manned during the day, but mainly for checking in arrivals.
There is a 24hr number you could call for any needs and they were very responsive. Very good communication for all your arrival needs and there is no confusion at all. Sylvia was excellent in this respect.
Nothing to complain about!

No A/C at this time of the year, the room was very warm.

We really enjoyed our stay. Silvia, the receptionist met us at the assigned time and was very helpful and kind. We had our own breakfast in our room in the kitchenette provided. Convenient. We thought the check out and easy storage of our bags was so convenient. We’ll be back for sure and tell our friends.
Nothing.

The pictures were nice, but it was even more beautiful in person. We had a gorgeous unit, with a fully enclosed shower (always nice!) The space was even more lovely than the pictures and so centrally located without being loud.
We ran late due to a delay on our second leg and they were so kind and accommodating about our check-in time being shifted.
They even left us a bottle of wine and we were able to do a load of laundry with the in-unit machine!
Comfortable beds and every little finish was so pretty. Compared to our stays in other Italian cities on the trip, we got so much more for the money with this stay!
Everything was perfect, I can't think of a single negative thing to say!

When we arrived, we were able to store our luggage at that same building, which was convenient. They later called us to let us know the apartment is ready, when we got there we met Silvia who walked us to the apartment and showed us how everything worked. We had a bit of an issue with the washer machine during our stay and Silvia came in right away and helped us. I really appreciate all her assistance and services throughout our stay.

This hotel is an absolute gem! It's housed in a beautiful historic building that has been converted into a super new and incredibly comfortable modern accommodation.
What I loved most is that while the renovation is clearly top-notch and the hotel feels spotless, the design thoughtfully retains the building's original charming and quirky character. It truly felt like we were sleeping inside history!
Our room was huge (very spacious!), and the location couldn't be better—everything we wanted to see was easily accessible. Beyond the fantastic facilities, the staff were exceptionally kind and welcoming, making the whole stay a pleasure.
Highly recommend this unique experience!

Beautifully decorated. Very quiet. Spacious.
Great location: approx 10mn walk to Uffizi Gallery. There's a bus stop 5mn away for No 23 bus to train station. Also 3mn away there's a small supermarket Conad,
Only 4 coffee capsules for 2 persons for 4 nights. Luckily there's a Conad supermarket nearby.

Fantastic stay, really beautiful apartment. Sylvia meet me and my partner at reception and was super friendly and informative. She helped arrange a taxi for us to travel to a wedding venue (and also agreed to take a picture of us before we left which was really nice). The apartment itself is amazing, everything seems really new and of a high quality. Location is really great too, nice quiet road but very central. Faultless property, would highly recommend and thank you to Sylvia!!
Nothing, everything was amazing!

This place is totally stunning. We stayed here with our family (older grandparents, adults, and a baby) and it was so convenient. Cooking was easy and we were able to rest from the heat during the day after morning outings. The flat is beautiful, everything is of the highest quality, and so comfortable. We felt safe and communication with management was easy.

Private and discreet, gorgeous apartment with high ceiling and wonderful space, nicely furnished to give a Florentine feel, great location that you can walk to most attractions. Excellent air con and other facilities. Will definitely return.
I was given the impression there would be daily housekeeping but there wasn't. It's not a problem for us though. Also, if you use the car park across the road, you need to give them an hour's notice to get your car, as they store cars in a different locations. This is not Palazzo Doni's fault of course.

Very convenient, well equipped, great for a family travelling with young kids.
Having a washing machine and a huge elevator in the building is a bonus!
We were staying in a 2 bedroom unit and one of the showers didn't have glass/ curtains (There was a small glass panel but on the opposite side of shower head) so water kept overflowing.. we had to stuff bath towels to prevent having slippery floor.

Perfect for families - options for 2-3 bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms with showers, toilet with bidets. Complete facilities for an apartment including refrigerator and freezer, washing machine/dryer (for bigger apartments), Smart TVs in every room (we had 3 in our apartment), internet wifi, coffee maker, air conditioning, ceiling fans. I just want to make a special mention on the air conditioning especially because of the current heat wave - this apartment was amazing - they installed a second air conditioner in the bathrooms to supplement and cool the bedrooms even more and there was a ceiling fan to drive the cool air down. That is awesome after a long day out.
Location was excellent - near Santa Croce where Galileo, Michelangelo and Machiavelli were buried. Also minutes away from a supermarket (Conad - less than 5 minutes walk) and near good restaurants. 450m away from Uffizi, Piazza della Signoria. The apartment itself had a nice view.
Staff was helpful and greeted us at the entrance of the property - they are easily reached via WhatsApp and are responsive to any queries. Check in and check out was fast and easy.
The building is old and has a tantalizing bit of history - there's a painting at Uffizi called Doni Tondo which was might have been painted in the building or for the building owner by Michelangelo. It was also a former furniture shop before which explains why their lift was so spacious unlike most minuscule lifts in older buildings.
It was renovated and in 2025, started operations so everything is really new and works well. It's a real hidden gem in Florence.
My husband was very impressed - we would most likely book this apartment again should we return to Venice.
Nothing I did not like. If I may suggest though - to have some ice cube trays and a couple of bottles or a pitcher for storing water in the refrigerator (water from tap in Florence is drinkable) will be a nice touch.

The apartment is newly renovated and beautifully fitted out. Has all the small details you need including a tote bag to do shopping
We loved it. It was just a little out of the main part of Florence but really only another 5 minutes walk. This was only a problem because it was a heat wave when we were there

An amazing property in the heart of Florence! 10 min walking to practically everything in the city center, but out of the hustle and bustle of Duomo and Ponte Vecchio. Truly great stay for the price, you cannot beat it!

The apartment was one street removed from the chaos of the tourist flow and a short walk to the river. We had a duplex apartment and enjoyed having our bedroom separated from the downstairs living area. We were able to do our laundry during our 8 day stay and it was super convenient having a dishwasher, fully fitted kitchen and air-conditioner in every room. We loved having a coffee and pastry shop downstairs for morning treats and found the restaurant Dimsum, right next door, excellent for late night snacks and take-aways to enjoy on the rooftop patio. Our apartment was a welcome reprieve from the chaos of the city and made our stay in Florence one that we will remember fondly.
Typical to apartment living, you can at times hear your neighbours. The downstairs bathroom's drain smelled a bit but once we started using the shower it disappeared

Very close to the Santa Croce church and square. It served as an excellent starting point to visit the Duomo, Uffizi, Pitti Palace and other attractions in Firenze on foot.
There's also a parking garage 80 meters from the accommodation.
The room was spacious and clean just like the bathroom. We liked the big TV.
Maybe a mini fridge? But, I guess that's not part of the concept, so not a big deal.

Very quiet and wonderful location. Beautiful and comfortable apartments and they accommodated a request for a crib and high chair.
The apartment met our expectations
