Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree

Breakfast was delicious. The staff were very helpful, quick and organised. There was a good variety of food. Tables were cleaned quickly after diners left . we didn't feel hurried to gulp down breakfast and leave the room. that is important to me as i like to start the day relaxed and enjoy breakfast, which i did do. we arrived on the first day very early and the reception staff were excellent to a pair of tired and feeling out of depth customers who don't know what they were going to do from 530am until room was ready. The lobby area is fabulous and the provision of a water and lemon juice drink, along with nibble food, is exceptional. Our accommodation room felt as well as looked so clean. The cleaning lady was so helpful and friendly, thankyou to her. in fact all the staff we met were exceedingly helpful and friendly. You should do your best to keep them as they are an asset to your business. It was a pleasant surprise to find the zoo so close. The pool and pool area was lovely. I was impressed when one of the staff , security i think, stopped a person from doing something potentially dangerous to himself in the pool itself. It was lovely to be able to order food from the pool bar. The whole of the 4 days we were these was magnificent and so i have been telling my friends and family.

The only problem my husband found was the coffee machine did not supply nice coffee, either in the room or at breakfast. It would be convenient to have a written map of the resort and shown on the map where the walkway to the zoo was. while waiting for our room on the first day we took a walk on the boardwalk and didn't realise how long and far it would be. It was only when we came across a sign to the river zoo that we realised we could get back a much shorter route. It would also be advantageous to your customers to have a shuttle , or similar , even once a day into the city and later to return to the resort. We might have stayed there longer if this had been available.

Stunning location, beautiful rooms and a great breakfast. Loved the staff and the golf buggy shuttle.

The hotel is a good base to spend the whole stay exploring the different attractions of Mandai without the travel.

The pool can be very crowded.

Walking distance to night safari and some eateries

Room and parts of the hotel not in good condition. Staff are not very welcoming or helpful. Breakfast is disappointing - small and crowded. Does not really live up to the BANYAN TREE reputation
