The Story of the Five Birch Trees Our vacation home, Birkenlund, is located in the historic district of St. Peter-Ording, on the former property of our great-grandparents, who have been renting to vacationers since 1902.
We are thus the fourth generation to carry on this family tradition.
When our grandparents built the first house, they planted five birch trees, which are also known up here as “trees of the north.” Due to constant North Sea storms, only two have survived to this day, and they inspired the name of our home.
Lower Level The first floor is divided into a living area with an integrated, open kitchen, as well as a guest bathroom with a shower and toilet.
From the living area, you can see the remaining two birch trees through floor-to-ceiling windows onto the south/west-facing terrace. In the garden area, you’ll find a seating set and a beach chair, inviting you to linger. A modern grill provides the perfect setting for a relaxing barbecue as the sun sets.
The light-filled living room features a cozy sitting area with a wood-burning stove, flat-screen TV, Bluetooth docking station, and sound system, as well as a dining table.
A spacious kitchen with a dishwasher, microwave, Nespresso capsule machine, coffee maker, and much more invites you to cook together. 
The first floor features two bedrooms decorated in a Nordic style, each equipped with a double bed and a flat-screen TV. A third bedroom features a single bed placed off to the side.
Upper Deck Additionally, the upper floor features a high-quality bathroom with a spacious shower, sink, and toilet.

Situated in a central, quiet location, this vacation home is right next to the historic village center, near the church, and runs parallel to Badallee, which connects the bustling resort town with the historic village of Sankt Peter.
From here, you can easily stroll through the idyllic village on foot, enjoy a chat over a cozy cup of Frisian tea, or walk to the South Beach (the most authentic beach in Sankt Peter). It’s also not far to the new promenade in the spa and health resort center.
