The Stables East Lodge Country House

The Property was Lovely and Spacious, really warm and cosy. Exceptionally Clean and everything catered for especially in the Kitchen where we able to do lots of cooking. Location fabulous, only 7 minutes from Chatsworth Estate.

We struggled with an intermittent internet connection which was frustrating with the Children wanting to make use of their interactive games. Had to Hot Spot our phones quite a bit of the time.

Very comfortable spacious and well located property.

Gorgeous location in beautiful quiet surroundings. Easy access to main roads and also walking distance to local shops, pubs and footpaths. Lots of space, large rooms/bathrooms. Modern clean kitchen, ample areas to relax, large outdoor spaces. Better than in the photos.

The bedrooms did feel a little damp on occasions, this was probably because they are on the ground floor and don’t get much sunlight.

Big property with good 3 shower/toilets. One per bedroom.

We had a great time apart from the property having a serious wood lice problem. The dining area had loads and while we tried to hoover them. They come back the next day. We didn’t use the dining that much so was fine but I suspect not all guests will be pleased and happy with such. Response we got from owner: Thank you very much for your feedback. We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us. We are sorry about the wood lice but unfortunately because we are surrounded by woodland and also the high temperatures they seem to be more prevelent than usual. Thank you Sarah and Adrian
