Penthouse Sea View with terrace

Sehr luxuriöses und modernes großes Apartment mit einer schönen Einrichtung und sehr guter Ausstattung. Man hat dort wirklich alles was man braucht. Die Aussicht der Dachterasse ist auch traumhaft schön mit Blick aufs Meer und dem Etna. Uns haben die paar Stufen und der kurze steile Anstieg nicht gestört. Die Gastgeber haben unser Gepäck sogar bei der Begrüßung hochgetragen das war sehr lieb :) Von außen und dem Treppenhaus her sieht das Gebäude eher älter und heruntergekommen aus aber das Apartment ist das absolute Gegenteil :) außerdem ist die Lage gut, man ist schnell überall zu Fuß und mit dem Auto auch sehr schnell auf der Autobahn. Es gibt an der Schule kostenlose Parkplätze, die waren meistens frei und sehr nah dran.

Leider war der Hot Tub nicht Hot sondern eher kalt, da die Heizung defekt ist, das wurde uns mitgeteilt aber schade, dass sie es nicht reparieren. Außerdem ist das Haus eher hellhörig und grade sind Bauarbeiter da.

The apartment and the volcano view from the terrace were wonderful. The kitchen and the terrace were very well equipped. The owner was very kind and helpful.

The boiler serving the showers is a bit too small. However, once you understand it, no problems (we were 5 people).

Truly one of the nicest, most beautiful and spectacular places I have ever stayed! The hosts were extremely helpful and endearing, doing all they could to perform above and beyond satisfaction.

The house itself is beautiful. It is located not too far from the bars. It was comfortable, very modern and is decorated to a high spec. The host was lovely when we met.

The hot tub! We chose this appartment specifically for the hot tub and we were unable to use it. We mentioned this to the owner. They did send a young boy out to fix this and assured us it was working fine, however, the filter pads are that old they will never work properly. The filter was also fitted incorrectly. When we arrived the water was slimey. This would have been sorted with a new filter pad. Also the temperature doesn't go above 28 degrees, which in the summer might be fine but it was too cold for an evening in May/June. It should be described as a plunge pool rather than a hot tub. I'm afraid it really spoilt our holiday. We could have paid a lot less for a cheaper apartment without a hot tub but decided to spend the extra money for this. After viewing other reviews I can see that the owners had already been told about the hot tub but chose not to sort it out.
