The location for this holiday let was outstanding with excellent views of snowdonia . The estuary with the birds heron and. swans along with The steam trains running along the Cob was stunning.. The location was very quie,. Relaxing and peaceful. Property had all the basic facilities and full instructions provided on use of facilties.

We did have an issue on getting into the property when we arrived as the key code would not open the key box. We did contact Sykes Cottages and one of your colleagues gave us an updated key code to enable us to access the property. Thank.you for your assistance in resolving the issue. One let down was that no towels were found at the property so we had to go and purchase some. No mattress protector or pillow protectors were on the mattress or pillows. When removing the bedding at the end of our stay we did see a large circular stain on the mattress. We have left a note to advise that the large stain on the mattress was not caused by us. Finding the stain on the mattress did make us feel uncomfortable as the property as a whole appeared to.be well looked after. It would also be nice to have had a shelf for shower and shampoo in the shower cubicle.

Excellent location overlooking the Porthmadog estuary to the rear and parts of the harbour to the front. With a two minute walk to the Ffestiniog station and 10 min walk to the other side of the harbour for access to coastal path to Bort-y-gest and Black Rock sands. With some of the very best, stunning scenery the UK has to offer locally and with a 30 mi drive, or via the steam railway. Will be back in the near future.

Small things, TV quite small, couldn't find the reference bags for used bed linen

At the start of the season we should have expected the flat to be pristine. However, the paint was badly flaking off around the window, the rug was stained and although the bed was comfortable, when stripping it, we were disappointed to find a stained duvet and no pillow protectors. All a matter of taste but too many nicknacks and pictures left a lot to be desired.
