Welsh Whales - Pet Friendly - Seafront Retreat

Welsh Whales has the most incredible views from its balcony and during the recent storms we loved watching the stormy see change by the hour. The braai area is amazing.

When the rain was heavy during a bad storm all the sea facing window and door was shaking and leaking badly. Water was coming under the sliding doors into the lounge, and the kitchen window was leaking badly too. We had to put towels and dishcloths down to stop the water. This does not appear to be a new issue. For this house to be used comfortably in Winter it needs a lot of maintenance. We will return but only in Summer.

The views are breathtaking and the house is well designed for enjoying them whether that be from the patio, the living area or the bedrooms. The house is big and laid out in such a way that it will be easy to host multiple families or couples. The furnishings and bedding are very comfortable. There are all appliances and kitchen items that you need for very comfortable self catering. It is particularly good that there are plenty of cups, plates, knives, forks etc and not just 1 of each per guest. The garage is available to guests, is big and contains appliances and cleaning equipment.

It is just a small thing and didn't impact on our stay in anyway, the lawn needed a mow and perhaps a bit of a garden tidy up. But given, we were focused on the views this was not an issue.

We had a wonderful weekend – the view is just incredible. Many happy hours were spent looking out to sea with binoculars. The braai area on the balcony is fantastic and the wood provided is very good, Great kitchen which was very well equipped. We loved walking in the Walker Bay Nature Reserve.

More information on the house and area would have been helpful – there was very little information on the house and no information on walks/restaurants, etc. No information on recycling - we bought ours home. Mosquitos were a problem at night. The house does need some maintenance.

Tolles Haus mit einer super Lage. Der Ausblick ist faszinierend.

Sauberkeit ließ zu wünschen übrig. Das Haus ist bereits in die Jahre gekommen und müsste demnächst renoviert werden.
