Spacious, quiet, had a lovely little back yard to sit in the shade or sun. Good kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms.

Overpowering chemical smells in the flat and inside the wardrobes and cupboards - made me think the smells were designed to cover up damp. Not sure if this was true. Chemical plug-in smelly things in 2 places (which I placed in outside utility area) but very powerful chemical washing powder had been used to wash duvets etc.

Great location - 20 minutes walk to centre. CI bus stop only a couple of minutes away and drops off at all the major tourist spots (I would highly recommend getting the AT bus app on your phone to plan journeys and buy tickets). Apartment was very clean, well equipped. Bedrooms a great size and beds very comfortable. All communications with the host, Flora, via Whatsapp were prompt and very helpful.

Not really a "didn't like" - just a heads up for other travellers: - this is not really a "two bathroom" apartment; there is one bathroom and another separate toilet/sink. - there is only one sofa (sofabed) in the living room to sit on. Not a problem when only two friends, like us, but if there were four or more of you, there is really nowhere to sit together in the evening if you are in the apartment.

The accommodation was really well placed, it was in a relatively quiet area, at least on the living side of the apartment backing on to a garden which occasionally had events on. A market for instance. Despite a little extra noise on those days it was all done by bed time. Facilities were good with very fast fibre to premises internet and a good selection of kitchenware allowed the ability to cook a few meals while in the city, something Italy is known for! I felt that on the whole, the price paid reflected what was there and I would describe the property as clean and spacious particularly for a solo traveller or a couple. The shower room is fresh and offers good pressure too which is nice after a lot of walking. The property is about a 30-35 minute walk to the tourist centre as well as the station - possibly a good thing if you want to escape mass tourism but still reach it without public transport. The host offered a good selection of local options for food and coffee too which helped me land on my feet. Lots of coffee options! Although I didn't use them personally, there were 3 mokka pots of varying sizes and a pod machine if that's your thing. I brought my own but it was nice to see options!

I would say unfortunately, the main issue I had was with comfort. The sofa in the living area is a sofa bed so compromises on comfort for functionality. There would be real benefit in looking at changing this sofa for one of the higher end comfortable L shaped sofa beds from ikea so you can really relax in the evenings. I have to say the bed left me with a bit of back pain too. It felt like I was on a little bit of a hill when in it and found myself trying to remain in the middle where the beam underneath probably is. Regardless, these things didn't detract too much from my experience as I spent a lot of time outwith the apartment. I'd also say some of the pans are a little tired with surfaces scratched but most won't be expecting to cook elaborately and there are a number of options in the cupboards.
