Would love to return and enjoy it under normal conditions

It was such a great relief to finally get into the house because of the storm and we were mightily impressed by the haven it offered us. The beds were so very comfortable and the bedding warm and luxurious. We were there in extraordinary conditions and very stressed with the access.

We had great difficulty accessing the property partly because of the appalling weather bomb. I could not open the lockbox with the little black switch. It would not move any which way for me. When eventually the friend came, she did open it the first time and then shut it again to show me what to do. Then she could not open it again and very ultimately had to dig at it with her own keys. She was kind enough to come with us to try to unlock the two doors but the weather made it all extremely challenging. It was SUCH A RELIEF to finally get into the wonderful huge house. There were inadequate instructions as to how to lock it all up again.

Everything you need in a kitchen was supplied, the whole house was very unique and bright. Comfortable beds and seating. The bathroom was functional and new. Clean and tidy everywhere with antique and modern furnishings.

Brilliant. Totally a very warm and comfortable home from home.

The bungalow is truly unique, quirky, spacious and very comfortable. Everything was to the highest standard and the idiosyncratic artistic taste of the owner made for a very stimulating - as well as restful - stay. We loved it. The owner provided us with excellent information which helped us find the property and also checked in with us once we had arrived which was helpful.

The access to - and especially exit from - the property up a short but steep drive is a bit tricky. It's easy to miss the property when coming down the road as it's between two bends in the road and there are multiple letter boxes which are dificult to read at a glance.

Unable to gain entry to the property therefore we are requesting a refund.

We were unable to gain entry to the property at 54 Anzac Rd Whangarei therefore we are requesting a refund. The arranged time of arrival was between 15.00 and 16.00. There was no one to greet us Two older ladies - stranded. I called the information centre who were unable to give me any contact name or phone number. We then had to seek alternative accommodation at extra cost.

Perfect hideaway in Morningside

Lovely quirky spacious home with excellent beds and all possible amenities. OH and an excellent artwork collection. Good Tv with netflix. We were pleasantly surprised and sad we only had one night.

The instructions for entry to the property, the lock box and self opening gates could do with an edit - we found them a little tricky. That is all though. THANK YOU for a great stay

The perfect bungalow when visiting Whangarei

Such a fantastic and comfortable home to stay in. Gabby was a wonderful host and I liked that she reached out to ensure we arrived safely and had everything we needed. We could see the Hundertwasser Art Centre from the property, that's how close to town it is! We were thrilled with all of the local pamphlets and info booklets - you are a great representative of the Whangarei community!

It was a real home from home with lots of space and all we needed in terms of facilities and comfort. Also real well situated and decorated in a lovely way with lots and art and creative touches.The deck/ veranda was a particular highlight and sitting out was great (great view of the basin).

Very enjoyable!

Location was good. Views of the town and relatively close to amenities. Very comfortable beds. Loved all the artworks and stylish decor. Enclosed verandah was fantastic for a winter-time stay. Host was good with communication and accomodating of our needs.

Driveway accessibility was a little tricky but host pre-empted that by sending very clear instructions.

Great location, plenty of space and the rooms were very comfy. The host is an artist so there is all kinds of beautiful art around the walls

The only thing I'd recommend is seeing if you can increase the water pressure in the shower as that was a bit light.
