Mar Residence

Mar Residence is a great option when visiting Istanbul. It has a great location and you really get a feel for the area. Apartment is small but worked out very well for us. 3 rooms and 2 bathrooms. We were really comfortable for our 6 day stay. Host was very welcoming and comms were very good. I would stay there again. Recommended.

Beds are not hotel level but comfortable enough. You can here the guests in the apartment above you but its not a deal breaker. Cutlery is provided and bigger coffee mugs would be a good addition.

Modern, exceptionally clean, has a lift so you don’t have to drag your bags up stairs. A great place to stay.

Combined Living room/Kitchen area tiny, but I think that’s just how they live in Turkey??

Very helpful owner who responded quickly and comprehensively to messages. They also provided us with free secure storage for our bicycles and they were also very accommodating in allowing us to stay beyond the checkout time when our daughter was unwell (just a stomach upset so not serious but they were very kind about it). The property itself was lovely, well equipped and tastefully decorated and very comfortable in a great location allowing us to access on foot a lot of the areas we wanted to visit. We loved it there.

The only minor downside is that the kitchen/sitting area isn't really big enough to seat 6 people comfortably, however that was not a problem for us at all, who wants to visit Istanbul and stay indoors?

Well-equipped and comfortable accommodation in a quiet street, very close to the T1 tram line. The host was kind and helpful. We had a great stay and would happily recommend this place.
