Location great. East check in. Good communication

The property was well equipped, clean and in a great location.

No hanging space at all, which was a shame. Maybe some hooks on the back of the bedroom doors would help and some hangers. It was exceptionally hot in the apartment and the heating controls were not straight forward to adjust. Maybe a small card with how to operate the heating could help. These are minor niggles that I’m sure could be easily rectified.

The house is relatively easy to find, considering it is not listed on the street it’s actually on and has no physical address. The unit has good space. Large kitchen. Nice dinning room. Nice sized bedrooms. It has a washing machine, which I didn’t see listed in the ad but was happy for. The main bed is a foam mattress which was very comfortable. The host left a little pot of Cornish milk in the fridge, which was a nice touch. Overall this place is nice. With a few little tweaks it could be great.

There isn’t a lot of communication. For example, I was told “WiFi routers are within the house with the passwords.” I spent about 15 minutes walking around trying to find a router, or any information left out that had passwords, instructions, recommendations, a sign, anything. I finally gave up and was sitting on the couch and saw a small business card tucked under the guest book, journal thing. The heating system is the most complicated thing I’ve ever used. Walked into a 25C and spent ages trying to cool it down. You need a PhD in theoretical physics to try to hold everything in your mind. There’s different days to pick, what temp you want it to be, what time you want it to be the certain temp on the certain day, but the time on the thermostat is wrong, so it won’t work, unless you can plan in the future and the past. Then you have 4 different settings for each day from wake up to leaving to... It’s a lot. And if you figure it all out, congrats! You now have 3 more thermostats to adjust. Oh, and one of the 3 is in Fahrenheit. Even once you get them all turned off, it’s hard to get the house under 18C even if it’s much colder than that outside and the windows are open. But, this maybe a plus for someone that is cold all the time. A fan could help. At night there are green lights illuminating the entire place like a haunted house that cannot be turned off. They are so bright the whole house glows neon green. In fact it’s so bright, you can see it from outside and it looks like a cartoon house or Halloween or something. They are on all day too, but you don’t notice them until the sun starts to go down. There’s a constant noise that comes from the bathroom. It’s like the exhaust fan is on even when it’s not, and it runs 24/7. There is no shampoo or body wash and only 2 rolls of toilet paper for an entire weeks stay. It’s listed as a bathroom amenity, so this seems strange. There is a giant, in roof, rain shower. Seemed super cool.

Good location, well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds. Milk was a nice touch in the fridge on arrival.

Not very clean, a lot of surfaces and doors were dusty, stained or greasy. Broken toilet seat with stains and bad smells around fixings. Bath plug was not effective, coffee machine unusable. Ceilings very thin and let a lot of noise in from neighbours on the floor above after having late night parties and just general walking around which was very intrusive. WiFi was temperamental but the host did try and resolve this after contacting via text. TV dated so you have will to bring own fire stick as no working terrestrial connection.

Good location, comfortable

The property was excessively hot, reaching 28 degrees on the reader, had to have all windows open when in the property to try and cool it down. The toilet seat was broken and a bit dusty around the place. WiFi wasn’t very easy to access, had to use a secondary WiFi, TV didn’t work other than some apps that we had personal passwords for.

Well presented property in an amazing location! Good sized kitchen to prepare basic meals, and the benefit of the dishwasher is always appreciated. Very comfortable beds, and clean bathroom! Would recommend both the pubs, and you aren't short for a place to eat in Porthleven.

The smart TV is quite old now & not hooked upto terrestial TV, if like us, you want half an hour of TV before bed after a long day of beaching or walking, or whilst your getting ready & having your tea in the morning, would recommend bringing a fire stick (or equivalent) to give you more viewing options. Not a deal breaker at all, more an FYI fot people visiting in the future.

We enjoyed the board games provided.

The flat was hard to find, the address on booking.com was wrong and led us to a private house. When we asked the host for the address, we were told to download the app „what3words“ to find the way. Communication with the hostess was difficult, a phone call wasn't possible and she didn't show up in person. Everything was handled via messages on booking.com. All in all, very unsatisfactory. Parking on the street was difficult. The flat was dirty. The towels weren‘t clean. There was no cleaning rag we could use. The host forgot to empty the washingmashine, we had to hang up towels, pillowcase, bath mat (these things have been washed all together on short wash program, which is not hygenic) The host didn‘t explain well how to use the wifi, on the second day we found by coincidence a tiny card on the table with the password on it. The TV wasn’t programmed. The toiletseat was loose. The view from the terrace is either rubbish bins or a parking area.
