Cherry Tree Lodge with Hot Tub near Alton Towers

Decided to book Cherry Tree lodge, rather than a hotel which we normally do when visiting theme parks and so glad we did! The owners have been great, really responsive to messages/queries. Helpful and informative before our arrival. Fantastic Lodge in a great location, in amongst the forest, very peaceful and private. Great parking with cameras on entrance and in the car park. Trolleys provided to carry all your stuff (and the kids!) to the lodge. Plenty of lighting on the paths to the lodge. Lovely grass area for the kids outside to play, decking with furniture to relax. Hot tub was great, the kids got straight in and we all enjoyed chilling out in there. Pond nearby. Easy instructions to get the key. The lodge itself was very clean and surprisingly big. Bottle of prosecco on arrival - we don't drink but I still get excited at a freebie! Booklet with wifi, hot tub and appliance instructions, list of local food places/shops/ take aways with websites and phone numbers, and suggestions of places to visit in the local area. Lovely bedding, with a selection of pillows (soft and firm for everyones preference!). Beds were really comfy. Travel cot and bedding provided for the baby. Loads of extra blankets etc. Plenty of towels provided. Pleasantly surprised that Tea/coffee/sugar/milk was provided. Also shower gel/shampoo/conditioner/hand wash in the bathroom. Cleaning products in the kitchen, toilet rolls and kitchen towel. Tower fan in the living room. Located 10 minutes away from Alton Towers, not far from the city centre, supermarkets, pubs, restaurants, shops etc. We went to Fueled for a breakfast which was really nice. Loads of options, including vegan and dairy free. Also went to Parilla Steak House for an evening meal which was lovely. If we are up this way again we will definitely be looking to book the same lodge.

The lodge was lovely, private, clean and had everything we needed and more, the little extras you forget, like tea and coffee, washing up liquid, it was all there. We were even greeted with a bottle of prosecco from the hosts, fabulous hosting and propert, will definitely stay again

The pull out bed was a bit uncomfortable but to be expected for a pull out really
