It's located in the shopping area of Fez . It's easy to find. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great

It smell like piss outside of the riad.

Posizione eccellente, vicino alla famosa porta Blu della Medina ma affacciata anche su una strada esterna che rende facili pick-up e drop-off. Ambiente complessivamente carino, terrazza con vista molto bella sui monti intorno. Ci hanno gentilmente preparato la colazione da portare via dovendo ripartire molto presto l’ultima mattina. Il prezzo, in assoluto, era molto vantaggioso.

La pulizia in sé non era male ma sfortunatamente la prima sera abbiamo trovato un grosso scarafaggio in camera, almeno ci hanno cambiato immediatamente la camera. Staff gentile ma complessivamente poco informativo: ad esempio non sapevamo che uno dei giorni di soggiorno era una festa nazionale importante con musei e attrazioni chiuse, avrebbero potuto dircelo per facilitare l’organizzazione. Colazione in terrazza buona ma non abbondante e poco varia. Dalle recensioni ci aspettavamo di meglio.

Hassan, el chico que nos atendió, fue muy majo y servicial. A la habitación no le faltaba de nada, muy buen hotel!

We liked the decoration, the room was clean and had a good hot shower. The breakfast was good as well. The young staff member was genuinely friendly and helpful and convinced the other staff member (a lady who seemed to be in charge) that we could store our bikes inside for which we were very grateful.

Concerning the announced facilities, like a shared kitchen, a coffee maker, etc. it is unclear if this is free of charge and / or possible to use for clients. We should have asked, but given that one can book dinner, we assumed the kitchen was not for common use. It would be helpful if it was specified which facilities / services are actually available for clients and whether there is an extra charge for it. The bed was not entirely made (no sheets on the bed), we took the sheets and blanket from the drawers. To pay the city tax (2€ per person per night as announced on booking), we were told we could only pay in Dirham, which seems to be untrue as in another Riad we had no problem paying the city tax in Euros. The lady told us it would be 45 Dirham for the 4€, though 43 Dirham would have been correct for the exchange rate of the day. Either way, there is no transparency regarding the city tax payment in Dirham only and which exchange rate is applied. We left with a mixed / uncomfortable feeling due to this as well as our impression that since our arrival the lady’s friendliness didn’t feel genuine. When leaving she asked us to give a 10 point rating and her goodbye hug felt too much and fake. This is the main raison reason for the low rating. Otherwise we would have probably given a 8 point rating.
