It was a whole flat with a nice kitchen in a leafy, quiet suburb, just a 10 min walk from the metro and then 15 min or so to the center of Rome. There were shops and restaurants nearby as well. Max, the owner, was very available and sent us a lot of information prior to our arrival which was very helpful.
