A great choice, everything we wanted.

Spacious room, very clean and comfortable. Great base from which to explore the city. Very helpful staff organised to send us our passports which we forgot in the safe.

very friendly staff, rooms are super spacious and clean, very luxury feel and great rooftop

we had a room on the ground floor and it was often quite loud in the mornings; also the shower has a window that you cannot close so it’s quite cold at all times in the room (we were there in december)

The building and its design is wonderful. Roof top garden and a place to have breakfast is really well designed. Plants that line the stairwell was brilliant. Probably good in an earthquake so that was attractive to us.

The housekeeping was a little inconsistent. Breakfast lacked some enthusiasm and was pretty blah.

Great stay for a great price

Great location, walking distance to so many great restaurants and bars. The room is very clean, modern and spacious. It was nice having a little kitchenette though we didn't use it. Might make sense for longer stays.

It was a bit noisy if you book a room with a balcony facing the street but I knew this when booking. It really wasn't a huge problem but if you are a light sleeper or do not enjoy hearing the city, ask for a room facing in or on a higher floor.

Amazing stay for my solo trip to CDMX

Everything about my stay was perfect. The staff was exceptional. Amazing service and very very friendly. Pablo is a great member of the team who provided me with everything I needed for my stay. The space is beautiful, the room was very comfortable. Amenities and room service was top tier. Highly recommend.

Beautiful, quiet room, great neighbourhood.

The room was really well equipped (mini fridge, microwave, hotplate, kettle, all sorts of kitchen equipment), large and well decorated. We were very comfortable, though the bed was slightly firm for our liking. Our room was quiet as we were on the 6th floor at the back of the building. I would imagine the streetside rooms to be a little noisier. They provide earplugs, but we didn't need them, and we are both light sleepers. Staff were very friendly and responsive when we had an issue with the safe in our room (wouldn't open). The neighbourhood is vibrant and full of cute shops, cafés, bars, restaurants, galleries... It is very easy to walk to many interesting places. I would definitely recommend this place.

The breakfast provided felt a little cheap for the amount we paid for our stay. It would have been nice to know what we were getting in advance. You get one coffee (have to pay if you want a second one - though there is a coffee maker in the room), a pastry and/or a small bowl of oats. If you want eggs, fruit, or anything else, you have to pay extra, and the prices are very inflated... It would be way cheaper to eat elsewhere. We took advantage of the kitchen in our room and got some yogurt and fruit at a nearby grocery store, and enjoyed coffee in our room before heading up (to the beautiful rooftop) for our cappuccino and oats to complete our meal.

The property is exactly as pictured and so clean and comfortable - better than I even had expected. The bed, sheets, etc - were amazing! Everything you need is in the room with a lovely kitchenette. Was great to have a comfy space to come back to at the end of a long day walking the city. Staff were so nice and the location was amazing. We even ended up one exhausted evening meeting a friend downstairs at the restaurant Rufus which was also delicious. One request would be to have some chairs on the balcony but not a big issue at all.

This didn't really effect us that much - but for some - the noise could be an issue. We were on the 6th floor with a balcony so we faced the main street. As of 7-8 am, even with ear plugs (provided), you start to hear traffic building - like NYC. We were up early anyway because of the time change and lots of exploring so we were ok - but I think it could be an issue for some. There are rooms without balconies that overlook the neighbourhood rather than the road that are supposedly a little quieter so that would be my recommendation if you are sensitive to noise. Not an issue for us - but maybe for some - you could also hear the music from the roof top bar afternoon/evenings. This also didn't effect us as we never could hear when we were going to sleep as the bar closes by 11, but if you are sensitive to noise, this could bug you on the 6th floor. We however didn't care

One of the most beautiful hotels I’ve been to in a great location

Very aesthetic, absolutely love the greenery all around the hotel and how it was designed. The outside patio was gorgeous and the bed was very comfy as well.

Clean and good location but marred by poor hospitality.

The hotel is in a great location in Roma Norte and within walking distance to many great restaurants and bars. We were provided with a room on a high floor so it was surprisingly very quiet given its location on a busy street. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was polite and friendly during my stay.

Unfortunately, after check out, the staff contacted me several times and accused me of taking two towels from the room and asked me to pay for them. They also sent me an electronic invoice for the towels. Of course, this was not the case (it's objectively silly to assume that a customer that paid so much for this hotel would steal towels). To avoid any confusion, I immediately called the hotel and explained that I hadn't taken any towels, and the logical explanation was that they weren't replaced when housekeeping came through the days prior. I was told that the manager would contact me to sort the situation, but noone ever did. My credit card was later charged for the towels without my consent. It ruined the entire hospitality of the hotel stay.

Loved our stay at Onto!

Great location. Very quiet and calming retreat from the bustle of Roma Norte. Very responsive to texts (via Whatsapp)/questions. Roberto and Pablo, went out of their way to be helpful.

A morning coffee/pastries or breakfast service upstairs on the rooftop would be fabulous.

The service was excellent, and everyone was so friendly to assist with whatever you needed. The rooms were great, and we felt at ease being there. The location was great, and we walked everywhere within 20 minutes.

Has potential to be great but smells + noise left me feeling sad

The rooms are large and beautiful. They seem to be decently stocked for cooking. The plants around the hotel are also gorgeous. Staff is very friendly and can give great recs.

Noisy - there is no outdoor wall but there is a metal staircase, so you will hear every step down. The wall from the unit above seems to be thin, there is also a lot of noise from anyone above walking around. There was a terrible sanitation type smell emanating from the wall outside my room, and within the bathroom sometimes. I brought it up 3 times over a 5 night stay, but it wasn't super addressed (the smell faded sometimes so maybe they came when it was gone), but I felt ill crossing the hallway. I switched rooms on a final night since I had to extend my stay, but that room also had a different smell (food?), but at least it wasn't the sanitation-type one. The shower pressure in my new room was also awful, and the showered sprayed everywhere but straight down. I also asked about the original room shower temperature which was either scalding or kind of cold, and was told it was working normally. They didn't mention anything about a curtain closing service, but it was confusing to realize someone had been in the room in the evening without notice. Had to say something, since the price is higher than a lot of hotels in Roma Norte. This would have been a 9 or 10 if my concerns were addressed when I brought them up multiple times.

Onto Alvaro, an excellent choice

The Onto was very centrally located to many restaurants and bars, in addition to some of the tours we took. The front desk staff was great and Pablo was there for anything you needed.

I can't really say there was anything I didn't like. The room was spacious, clean, sheets and towels replaced everyday, a refrigerator, stove, utensils, dishes, everything.

Stylish, friendly and thoroughly enjoyable visit

The rooms are beautifully designed and the outdoor space is a great bonus. The rooftop garden is a lovely addition to enjoy the ambiance of the city. The staff at the front desk - Roberto and Isaac - were both fantastic. Incredibly friendly and helpful, ensuring our stay was smooth sailing.

Our room was directly underneath the restaurant and unfortunately, the noise really travelled as don’t think there was proper noise insulation installed. We could hear chairs dragging and general noise that comes with a busy restaurant so if you’re looking to get a quiet early night sleep, I wouldn’t recommend the lower ground floor. That was really the only issue we had with the property and certainly wouldn’t stop us from staying again but would definitely rethink which room we book.

We fell in love with Mexico City. The city, people were amazing!

This boutique hotel was a combination of a hotel and Airbnb. The hotel offers cleaning, valet, concierge services, and a full kitchenette in a quiet neighborhood. Stone throw to some of CDMX's renowned restaurants, and a few miles away to some of the best sights the City has to offer.

The room was large and spacious. The only issue was the rain shower head that did not have a solid flow.

Friendly and helpful staff. Good location and easy to get taxi/uber. Close to restaurants and couple of bars. Safe feeling in this area. Very green surroundings. Great bathroom

Was a little expensive especially as didn't use the kitchen facilities. Breakfast as too late in the morning, so we had to go elsewhere but this was also quite interesting to do.

Nicely designed, lots of space in the rooms, very comfortable.

I wish there was a bar and or breakfast service on the rooftop. Not many communal areas. But on the plus side this meant the hotel was quiet.
