Would love to stay here again, the best location

Such a wonderful stay! The location is incredible - it's lovely to step out of the hotel on a beautiful morning from the hotel and see the light streaming through Parque México right across the street. Our room included a continental breakfast, which was better than the average breakfast I've ever ordered while travelling - the fresh grapefruit juice and papaya in particular, wow. The neighborhood (La Condesa) is known for being a safe area to walk around - we walked everywhere from the hotel except for a couple of destinations. The staff were very responsive through WhatsApp to any requests we had and kindly gave us a quiet room when we requested it. We were there for over a week and we were very comfortable - the bed was great, the AC was essential and they even surprised us with cake and a bottle of white wine in our room one evening during our stay. We will absolutely stay at this hotel again to enjoy the food, the location next to the park and the warm and welcoming staff - thank you!

I agree with some of the reviews that the rooms, while clean and very aesthetically pleasing, feel a little tight on space for hanging clothes but we didn't have any issues with it and used the drawers as well.

Great location, tiny rooms and lots of noise.

Location is fantastic. They offer free water. Some of the reception staff were very friendly and helpful.

Our room was located right above the restaurant, so it was only quiet from 11pm till 7am. Otherwise, there was always music and noise. The room itself was absolutely tiny and not enough for travelers with big bags. I think it was cleaned only twice in the four nights we spent there. Breakfast is way too simple and plain for the level the hotel aims to be.

This hotel is wildly overpriced and underwhelming.

The location was fine, a nice neighborhood beside a park. The staff was pleasant but unhelpful. I can’t find anything else to praise about this hotel.

The hotel room was tiny and had a ridiculous layout. It did not look anything like the photos; it’s laughable to think that the amenities listed in the room description would even fit. The only space to open a suitcase was on the bed. If you wanted the promised balcony, you were looking at the garage. I can’t fathom what other reviewers liked about this property. And the price was ridiculously high. There are so many better options in la Condesa.

It would have been perfect if the balcony was usable.

It was super clean and comfortable. Loved the bathtub and the little extras like the cold drinks and local snacks.

The orientation of the building is very unfortunate. I was excited to have a little balcony, but it was unusable being right up next to another building. When I left the balcony door open with the curtain closed, there were unpleasant odors coming up from the smokers below.

We will be back and we will be recommending this hotel and its restaurant to anyone who visits CDMX.

After days walking around Mexico City we knew we’d made the right decision in choosing to stay at Rodona as the location could not have been better. Across from the park and central to everything. The beautiful art deco building, the small boutique hotel feel, the staff (Ian deserves special mention but they were all exceptional) and the lovely onsite restaurant, Lindy. Normally we don’t dine in the hotel restaurant as we prefer to try so many restaurants and they can be the cater to the western palate. Lindy, however, drew us back often. With tired feet and often full bellies from a day of trying the fabulous street, market and restaurant food of CDMX, we glutinously still craved one of their divine salads and the octopus and bone marrow tacos as our supper.

We were is room 107 on the first floor which was above the bar and reception area and overlooking the entry and restaurant courtyard. Subsequently, it was very noisy particularly after close and as staff were packing down or setting up in the early morning. I would recommend you request a room on the higher floors which is what we will be doing next time we book. I do not think the photos on bookings.com do this hotel justice. It was far nicer than the photos indicated.

The hotel location was wonderful. The room was comfortable, if a little tight, but that was expected. The bathroom shower and warm bidet were very nice. Staff was helpful. Breakfast was tasty. There is filtered water on the first floor.

The hand and body soap was very watered down. The room lighting was very dim.

Would definitely return!

Everything was great! Lindy’s was a huge benefit with delicious breakfast, and we loved sitting up on the rooftop too. Rooms are small but clean cozy and comfortable.

Only downside, our room on first floor was next to the supply room and right above the staff area for storage so it was loud.

Service needs improving

Location was great. The bed was very comfortable.

The hotel is meant to have 24 hour front desk reception however when we arrived at 6.00am the security had to let us in and we had to wait until the front desk receptionist arrived much later.. When the bar person arrived they wouldnt make us a coffee because they had "other things to do".The bedroom was very muggy and humid as if you were walking into a bathroom after someone had a long hot shower. The gym was tiny with one bike and some dumbells. The staff did not explain to us that the continental breakfast was free and the menu items were not free.

Superb Boutique hotel great location in La Condessa

Lovely Boutique hotel in Condesa - directly opposite the park.. very central & super location. Incredibly comfortable beds with high quality linen. Reception Service was excellent - breakfast was good quality - Mexican. Breakfast of fresh juice, toast , yoghurt & fruit - attentive staff. Roof Bar was very chilled place to relax with varied Menu both drinks & food.

Great location; not a good hotel (see thorough review)

Location is great. Felt safe/secure. Friendly staff. Free mini bar/snacks in the room (unless you want anything restocked).

The room I booked/saw in the pictures was not the room I got. I was told there are many different types of that room but I should be able to pick the exact one because they're very different in certain ways. For example, our room was supposed to have an indoor soaking tub but it was outdoors on a balcony where many, many people could see. What is the point? Also, people could see in our bathroom so we had to use the bathroom with the lights out (yes, we tested to see if you could see in). There were no shades or anything. The shower head did not work. The water temperature was unpredictable. The cleaners took our reusable water bottles and didn't replace them. The continental breakfast was just what they served you; you couldn't pick/choose what you wanted (e.g. they automatically served coffee; want tea instead? too bad; that's extra). I would not stay here again. The bed was very hard/not comfortable.

Styly but nothing for business travel.

Electrical plug ins are terrible for an international business traveller. Direct plug for cable electricity was too slow. No space in the room and the balcony is very small and view to back side and next house. Room has no light and is inch per inch draftet so dou could not open or close the bathroom door while showering or on the toilet.

The property is stunning and perfectly located within walking distance of great restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. I really appreciated the stylish design throughout the hotel and the cozy new restaurant on the first floor. The rooms are beautifully decorated with so much attention to detail—you can tell a lot of thought went into the interiors. What stood out the most was the staff: so warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. They made our stay extra special.

The only issue was the Wi-Fi, since the signal in our room at the end of the corridor was quite poor, making it difficult to stay connected. Everything else about the hotel was excellent.

Fantastic location (I don't think it's possible to find a better location in CDMX for a hotel!) and amazing roof top with tables and chairs over looking the park. Comfortable bed and nice aesthetic of the room. Felt very safe and clean.

Prachtig, het hotel heeft alles wat we willen aan een goede prijs, let op voor een gehorige kamer.

Zeer mooi hotel met zeer mooie faciliteiten en vriendelijke bediening. Stijlvol ingericht. Goede badkamer en kamer. Flexibele en reactieve bediening in het hotel. Een zeer mooi dakterras en een ideale locatie om van Mexico city te genieten.

Geluidsoverlast. Wij lagen op kamer 104, een kamer die vlak boven de inkom en het terras van het restaurant ligt. Dat er met momenten geluiden zijn op de gang en op andere terrassen kan ik begrijpen. Je kon het echter alles horen uit het restaurant bijvoorbeeld elke keer de deur open en dicht ging ( ook in de ochtend) hoorde ik dit door de oorstoppen heen. Indien je laat genoeg gaat slapen hoeft dit geen issue te zijn. Ivm een tijdzone verschil en dan deze ervaring gaf het wel een mindere nachtrust voor mij. Ik zou een kamer aan de achterkant van het hotel vragen, dan moet het perfect zijn!
