The owners are useless at communication , I tried to contact themeeeis prior to our stay and they never got back to me .
I didn’t like anything about this property because the basic cleanliness standards had not been met , in fact, the property had not been properly cleaned for more than 7 months. As well as all the dirt and mess found , there was a yoghurt lid amongst it with a sell by date of 8/11 ! Bedside drawers still had empty snack wrappers in from previous occupants , lollipop sticks under dining table and behind bedside drawers . The towels were stained and very worn . The garden was an absolute mess , covered in birds droppings and garden debris all over the patio , nothing short of 5 minutes with a blower would have sufficed . The owners appear not to have any consideration or care for staying guests. My duvet cover didn’t even have any buttons on it either and the mattresses are very worn also . There was a mountain of crumbs, dust and dirt under the cushions on the sofa bed in the lounge plus sand on the sofa in the kitchen Windows were filthy also , not inviting in the slightest and a feel that you have walked in straight after somebody else has just walked out .
Everything , no instructions on how to operate the heating in a very cold house . Ruined my much needed break after my father sadly passing away. Still awaiting a refund 3 days later .
