The perfect house for a large group. Rented to attend a wedding in the area and was perfect for a good base. The house was clean and beds very comfortable. Good communication from host who gave clear instructions on how to get to the property and was attentive during our stay also.
Only issue was some leaking from light fittings in the kitchen when showers were on.
Also thank you to one of the previous reviews - if you are booking please ensure that you contact booking.com re the city tax that they charge. I enquired about this and was immediately refunded.

A great place to stay to catch up with friends and explore Bury St Edmunds. Lovely pub in the village. Comfy beds and a well equipped place to stay.

Close to where our family lived. The cleaning staff when we arrive, then it went down hill.
I didn’t like the abrupt and rude accusation from the owner when we reported a fault. I didn’t like the fact that plug sockets went off when the cooker tripped out (may be the HSE needs to look at this?). I didn’t like the fact the on-suite shower leaked into the kitchen and you could see where it had in the past by the staining on the ceiling and they tried to blame us. I did appreciate an apology from a family member when they arrived to remediate the power issues but didn’t appreciate it didn’t come from the owner - but instead an excuse they were traveling - it wouldn’t have taken 1 minute to apologise.
