Charming historic cottage in Tulbagh. We arrived to a lovely fire and warmed rooms, such a treat for a truly freezing winters day. The staff had considered all our comforts. Tea coffee and milk were appreciated! Thank you for a delightful stay.

What a gem! And a privilege to stay in such an immaculately restored house. The old-world charm is beautifully blended with modern luxuries. Machteld House is like a real old Dame. We enjoyed the fireplace, with a glass of red. Blessing, our friendly host, stocked us up with plenty of firewood. The house was spotlessly clean, and we will be back for sure. Only problem, we did not stay long enough.
