Villa Sarmi - a true off-the-grid hut

L’emplacement, isolé de tout avec une vue à couper le souffle sur le lac. Le chalet dans ses moindres détails, du choix des matériaux à la vaisselle en passant par les grandes baies vitrées, son confort, sa chaleur. L’aventure avec ce sentiment de revenir aux sources en allant chercher son eau dans le lac glacé pour boire, faire la vaisselle, se laver… beaucoup de logistique en soi, mais qui nous ramène à l’essentiel !

Absolument rien si ce n’est peut être la distance des toilettes sèches au chalet. En plein hiver, la sortie ne s’improvise pas ;)

Pas d’eau courante, pas d’eau chaude, pas de salle de bain et des toilettes bio en dehors du bâtiment principal

Esperienza incredibile. Una autentica struttura isolata da qualsiasi cosa, immersa nella natura. Qualcosa di incredibile ed unico. Di recente realizzazione con una vista spaziale su uno dei laghi più grandi al mondo.

I bagni sono esterni alla struttura e non esiste una vera doccia il che rende difficile la gestione quando si è insieme a delle donne per esigenze più particolari ma chi ama la vera wilderness è un’esperienza super consigliata in ogni caso.

We had the most wonderful stay at Villa Sarmi. The location is absolutely breathtaking - a true paradise in the heart of nature. Surrounded by stunning landscapes and complete tranquility, it was the perfect place to relax and unwind! The host Pekka was incredibly kind, welcoming, and always available for any questions. Even before our arrival, we felt genuinely cared for. Good to know is that the parking area is about 2 km from the Villa, and guests are transported to the property by snowmobile. Upon arrival, we were given a short tour where everything was explained to us, including how and where to get fresh water and wood, how the sauna works, etc. It’s not for the lazy, but getting back to the roots truly makes you feel even more connected to nature. You also have free access to various equipment such as snow suits, snowshoes, and more. We can wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and unforgettable getaway. We will definitely be coming back!
