The perfect vacation

Our stay in Väre home was absolutely outstanding and exceeded all our expectations. The property was beautiful and homely with a well-equipped kitchen that made it easy to prepare meals and enjoy the cozy evenings indoors. The highlight of our stay was the private sauna house, where we enjoyed a truly unforgettable experience of relaxing in the sauna and dipping into a frozen lake—a perfect touch of Finnish tradition. The location was ideal, just 5 minutes from the airport and 15 minutes from the city, yet wonderfully peaceful. We could watch the Northen lights from the property without the need to travel. The host was incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Overall, this accommodation was worth every penny, and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting Ivalo!

We liked a lot of things from this accommodation. For example the location, the view at the lake, the utensils in the kitchen and above all the owners of the property. They are exceptional! Janne and Paula do their utmost to make the stay memorable. They organized several activities for us, we were allowed to use the shore sauna (which we would recommend!) and prepared a fantastic dinner with fresh fish from the lake! Very nice hosts who are there for you when you need them. They are more than happy to show you the traditional Finnish way of living and will make sure your stay is unforgettable.

Absolutely amazing

The accomodation is absolutely amazing, there are several bedrooms that fit 8 people in total. The sauna is also exceptional and the whole place is very modern. It is located next to lake Alajärvi and offers an additional sauna building (the apartment has a separate sauna). Paula and Janne are really great hosts and very forthcoming. Bedsheets are also provided, which is an additional plus. The place leaves nothing to be desired for, it is really worth it's money and I would totally recommend it!

Haus am See in Lapland, wie man es sich vorstellt

Die Unterkunft liegt phantastisch in einem Wald an einem See. Landschaftlich ist das Lapland pur. Den See hat man, weil die wenigen anderen Häuser weit entfernt sind, für sich alleine. Das Haus liegt auf einem kleinen Hang, von dem eine Holztreppe mit einem langen Steg zum See führen, sowie parallel dazu eine lange Schlittenbahn. Schlitten stellt die Unterkunft. Außerdem gibt es ein Saunahäuschen und zum Eisbaden ein kleines Loch im See. In der Ferienwohnung ist eine weitere kleinere Sauna, die man selbst betätigen kann. Die Ferienwohnung ist eine Doppelhaushälfte, groß, schön und modern eingerichtet auf zwei Stockwerken. Nebenan in der anderen Hälfte des Hauses wohnt die freundliche Besitzerin Paula mit ihrem Mann, die uns immer per WhatsApp mit Rat und Tat zur Seite stand. Mit dem Mietauto waren wir in 20 Min im Skiressort Saariselkä, wo es viele Restaurants gibt, in 10 Min in Ivalo zum Einkaufen und in 40 Min in Inari, um das interessante Museum über die Kultur der Samen zu besichtigen. Besuche von Husky- und Rentierfarmen sind auch im näheren Umkreis möglich. Insgesamt war es ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt.
