The Old Farmhouse

Very spacious and 3 very generous double rooms. Beautiful kitchen and garden. The house was delightful. Lots of birds and wildlife around to observe. Very well located for visiting Holt Island and Bamburgh.

Loved the location and privacy, loved the spacious house and peaceful surroundings, had almost everything we needed

Lacked outdoor lighting in a very dark area at night, especially for letting the dogs into the garden at night, no lighting at all in a really dark rural area, electrics need attention as they blew when cooking Christmas dinner due to overload but was soon sorted... Couldn't use log fire after 3rd day of 7 due to falling brick work into fireplace posing a dangerous hazard so disappointed about that...quite a scare at the time... Need thicker quilts for winter renters as house gets very cold and heating setting needs to be changed for people staying in winter as constantly had to use booster to keep house warm enough, few scuffs and small tears in sofa /chair furnishings, out of date biscuits left for coffee machine in December, best before October... Small attention to details needed and some updating but loved the building and surroundings... Be aware you are next door to a cow shed with farmers doing work day and night, it didn't bother us but may some people... Also trains going by very frequently, stock up well on bird food, we lived feeding the beautiful birds in the garden but wow can they eat haha x

The stairs,due to the age of the house, can be a bit of a health hazard! We had one person take a proper dive and a few slips
