Baiyok and her family are the best hosts ever

Baiyok and her family are the most hospitable, helpful, and caring hosts you could ever ask for. Every day they made sure everything was comfortable with my room and stay in general. On two occasions they even prepared a delicious Thai breakfast for me at no extra charge. They can also help arrange boat trips, and they offer scooter rentals as well, which makes exploring the island very easy. The rooms were clean and the Wi-Fi was fast enough for me to work remotely from my room without any issues. Downstairs there’s a small shared kitchen with a fridge where you can store snacks, plus a water dispenser and complimentary treats available for guests. The guesthouse location is perfect for visiting Long Beach and is also close to Saladan. I hope to come back one day — I highly recommend staying here to everyone!

We felt at home here

Everything was great! This place will always stay in our memory. We are so glad we chose to spend 2 weeks in the Baiyok house! This is a family run guesthouse, and they care about their guests comfort a lot, we felt at home here. We booked a triple room that had quite a nice view, and it was quiet and clean. The AC worked fine. Everything worked perfectly. The beds are hard but really comfortable. The communication was always great despite the language barrier. Shared kitchen has a fridge when we stored our fruit and drinks. There are also some necessities in the kitchen: snacks, cups, sometimes fresh fruit, tea, cooler with hot and cold water. A few times they cooked delicious local breakfast for all of the guests. My friend got sick, and the host offered her support and care, booked a taxi to the hospital for us. The location is great, a lot of restaurants nearby, the beautiful Long beach is a short walk away. The guesthouse helped us book taxis, transfers and tours. We are very happy we spent our time here and it was a bit sad to leave. I hope we can come back here one day!

Lovely guesthouse, highly recommend!

Xxxxx and her family were so friendly and welcoming, they made us feel at home straight away. Free breakfast and drinks in the morning was an added unexpected bonus! There was also a nice lounge area just off the kitchen. Location was great & easy to moped to all the best areas across the island. Couldn’t recommend more!

Perfect home stay

LOVEDDDD staying here and miss it already! Would come back again. This is ran by a local Thai family that will absolutely take care of you and treat you like family. We were so happy we decided to stay here instead of a typical resort or bungalow. Highly recommend! They helped us with airport transfer and getting taxis. The grandma made a delicious home cooked meal one morning and was such a beautiful morning in the sitting lounge area. They also rent motorcycles if you need! Also, they own a yummy cute gelato place nextdoor you should check out! The room was perfect, clean, and a great size for two of us. We didn't really hear much noise from other rooms and the A/C and showers worked great. There were some things provided like dental kits, towels, (beach towels was extra charge), shower caps, small bars of hand soap, shampoo/shower gel. Easy walk to the beach, just across the main road and walk a few mins! We loved this location as it was central to a lot of restaurants and by Long Beach! Can't wait to come back. Thanks Baiyok and family!!!

Clean place with a very warm and friendly family, closeby Longbeach.

We loved our stay at Baiyok! The family who owns made it the best stay. They are so friendly, smiley and happy and thats what I always love about a place the most. That kind of thing makes the difference for us. The cleaning of the room was very good and neat. The wifi was excellent. It was just a 5 minutes walk to Long Beach, a very clean and nice beach with the most beautyfull sunseths and our favorite brunchplace: zenith (at onzone bar) You have to cross a busy road and then your almost there.

The sounds of the road are there till very late BUT: they told me in advance. If you really mind sounds, just book a room at the other side of the guesthouse. The water pressure was pretty low at times. Just find the best time for taking a shower ;-) But all in all: this place was super and we are already missing the familys smiles every morning and the hugs from grandmother.

Bayok, her family, and Bayok House are truly a hidden gem of Koh Lanta — a place and people to be discovered slowly and

Koh Lanta was the second-to-last stop of our trip to Thailand, and despite being thousands of kilometers away from home, Bayok and her family made us feel exactly that: at home. Bayok’s kindness, initiative, positivity, and genuine sense of friendship are things we will carry with us for a long time, and it was honestly hard to say goodbye when it was time to leave. Her constant availability — with advice, recommendations, or practical help — truly made the difference and allowed us to fully enjoy our time on the island. The guest house offers scooter rentals, but since my boyfriend and I did not feel confident riding one, Bayok arranged a car for us through a local rental company in no time, taking care of everything with great attention. Although Bayok’s family does not speak much English, their smiles, gestures, and incredible warmth spoke a universal language. We always felt understood, welcomed, and genuinely taken care of. The property is simple, comfortable, and very clean, providing everything you need for a pleasant stay. It is located on the main road, so we recommend booking one of the garden-side rooms, which are quieter and more spacious, although we stayed in a street-facing room and were absolutely fine. Bathroom and shower are modern and functional, which is not always a given in Thailand. On the first floor, there is a lovely relaxation area with a small balcony, where hot coffee, good snacks, and fresh bananas are available at any time. Within a very short walking distance, you can reach Long Beach, the island’s most famous and lively beach, as well as many nice cafés and restaurants for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Staff was extremely nice and friendly, we felt very welcome and they were super helpful. Location is perfect. You can rent motorcycles directly at the hotel, also taxi, tours etc. Would definitely come again!

The nicest hosts EVER!!

The entire family at this guesthouse are adorable! I loved them so much :) Such a warm welcome every single day - I have never had a meal given to me upon my arrival, my boyfriend and I were so grateful. We had a mountain view room, and after a spout of sickness on Phi Phi, when we arrived we were so grateful for the super quiet room, great AC & comfortable bed. I think I had the best nap since we started our travels at the beginning of December. Spotlessly clean, great location and very helpful hosts. I would 1000% stay here again. Close to the beach and restaurants. There’s a little communal area for fresh water (hot and cold), free bananas and some little snacks. You guys rock!! I actually cannot cope with how cute the grandma was - the cutest woman ever! Thank you for such a welcomed new year in your guesthouse - we will remember our time here.

Very comfortable and pleasant place with plenty of amenities near by.

We had a very warm welcome at Baiyok House and were made to feel at home right away. The staff assisted us with carrying our bags to the room which was very kind. We were pleased when we got to the room as it was modern, clean, spacious and had a big comfy bed. You are only a 2 minute walk to the beach as it is the other side of the road, with plenty of restaurants and cafes etc near by. We also rented a scooter from here with no hassle or issues. Overall great stay and would highly recommend.

Very caring staff and nice location

I don’t have enough words to describe how nice my stay was at Baiyok’s guest house. Baiyok and her family are so caring and kind that they make you feel at home. The guest house is very well managed and there’s what you need to make coffee/tea at the 2nd floor with a few snacks. I also booked a snorkeling excursion thanks to Baiyok recommendation and it was amazing. Would only recommend staying here.

Lovely stay

Baiyok and family are very welcoming, prepared a surprise meal upon arrival and helped organise my transport to Ao Nang with ease. The room was very large with good aircon.

Quite a few stairs which was no issue for me but if you have mobility issues it is worth considering. They assisted bringing all my luggage up and down the stairs!

Warm, welcoming and comfortable

My stay at Baiyok House was amazing! Such a warm welcome from the moment I arrived, the room was clean, modern and spacious. Baiyok and her family were helpful when renting a scooter and needing a tuktuk, and even made breakfast in the mornings. Really could not fault this family run guest house, thank you for such a lovely stay.

Everything was amazing, my only grumble would be there weren’t any plug sockets by the bed, but that really isn’t an issue.

Honestly this was the best place I’ve ever stayed, everyone welcomed me like I was family and I truly felt like that. Everyone there is so caring, respectful and kind. They cooked me the most delicious Thai breakfast, made sure I always had plenty of water to drink and even took some family photos in the end of my staying. Beautiful place beautiful family

Such a beautiful family run business. Every member of the family/staff were so lovely and considerate. Good location as it is about halfway up the beach side of the island so close to both the urban and more rural sides. The AC was also amazing which was worth its weight in gold. Will definitely be staying again when I can next return to koh lanta!

Only small thing is the road is very loud (I’m sure this is the case for most accommodations on the island) but the AC tuned most of that out.

Nice local place close to the beach and with warm welcome

The property belong to a local family that is adorable. They are really there to make you as comfortable as possible and will help you with any of your requests. I felt directly at home even if I only stayed one night. I can really not be thankful enough ☺️🙏🏼

A perfect stay

My stay at Baiyok House was perfect. They recently opened 6 months ago and it has been beautifully renovated - my room was spotlessly clean, light, bright and airy and was the perfect spot for a few days in Koh Lanta, I didn’t want to leave! There is a small communal kitchen kitted out with coffee, bread and biscuits which was lovely. There is a convenience store only a couple doors down and some great restaurants not to mention the beach a 5 minute walk away with lots of restaurants and bars too. The owners and their granddaughter are delightful and so helpful and kind (and the adorable cat!) - thank you! you really must stay here.

The perfect stay

We had the most wonderful stay! We loved it so much that we extended our visit by an extra night — and honestly, we could have stayed even longer. After being in Krabi, arriving in Koh Lanta felt like a breath of fresh air, and the warm, welcoming family running the place made it even more special. One morning, we enjoyed a delicious traditional Thai breakfast along with fresh fruit. They also kindly offer complimentary water and coffee throughout the day. Our room was spacious, bright, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We also rented a scooter from them for three days, which made exploring the island easy and fun. A big shoutout to the girl of the family who speaks fluent English and organized everything for us. We would absolutely stay here again!

A home away from home

This was the perfect place to stay on koh lanta - it’s only a few mins walk to the best stretch of beach (hardly any rocks in the sea and the best sunset views), a mini mart and great restaurants catering to local and western cuisine. The room itself was super spacious and clean, and the moped we rented was great. The best part however is the lovely family who run Baiyok house who were so welcoming and provided us with everything we needed during our time there - they even supplied a lovely homemade meal on Songkran! It really made it feel like a home away from home and we’d recommend staying here to anyone visiting the island.

Perfect stay!

We loved staying here. A perfect room, nice and comfy beds, very clean and aircondition works perfect. The staff where also so lovely, and the grandmother cooked breakfast for free one of the days. We could rent scooter with no problem, and everything was just so nice. Highly recommend this place!

Absolutely Fabulous!

Such a fantastic guest house, run by the most accommodating, kind and attentive family. They went above and beyond to help us in every way during our stay at Baiyok house. The room we had was a great size, very clean and a generous double bed with wonderful views over a forest hill. Shower has great pressure and gets nice and hot. Turn downs, fresh towels and room refresh are done to keep it nice during your stay. We were unexpectedly provided a freshly cooked Thai breakfast on two of our mornings, which was absolutely yummy! One morning we couldn't have this as we went diving, but fresh food was generously prepared for us on our return which we didn't expect, but were really grateful for... If you're a diver you'll know what kind of hunger we had after 3 dives... So kind! On other mornings fresh fruit and some biscuits were available. There are various coffee sachets and biscuits available in the kitchen for any time of the day you fancy a snack and they kindly do all the washing up and keep the area really tidy. There's another communal area you can enjoy eating breakfast in to save any smell or crumbs in your room, our just to hang out in if you need a little change of scenery. It's a modern guest house with old school values which we found to be absolutely charming and generous. The location is great, just a walk across the main road and down to the centre of phra ae beach in five minutes. Plenty of nice eateries on the road, would suggest The Glass House & The Backyard. Really well stocked local supermarket a few doors down as well, for anything you need. Seven eleven also available but a bit further away. Also a place to do your washing just down the road, 3 min walk away, ours all came back smelling really fresh and no colour runs or missing items.

L’extrême gentillesse de Baiyok ainsi que de toute sa petite famille !!! Ils sont si adorableeee !! Nous étions comme à la maison !!!! Super accueil tellement chaleureux. Petite chambre simple mais très propre . Frigo commun à disposition très pratique et convivial . A 300 mètres de la plage . Je recommande sans problème .

Nettes Guesthouse

Sehr freundliche Betreiber-Familie, geräumiges Zimmer, bequemes Bett, sauber. Es gab Wasser, Bananen und an einem Tag wurde sogar Frühstück bereitgestellt. Unbedingt eines der Zimmer nach hinten raus buchen, die Straße nach vorne raus ist super laut - hinten aber kein Problem.

Eines der 4 Kopfkissen war sonderbar verfärbt (schimmelig?). Durch die Zimmertür ist der Flur recht hellhörig. Dusche nicht abgetrennt im Bad, alles wird nass. Wir fanden den Preis zu hoch für das was es ist, aber wir hatten auch kurzfristig gebucht.

Tout et particulièrement l’accueil! Toute la famille est vraiment adorable et attachante, très serviable et au petit soin, toujours avec bienveillance et respect. Vous pouvez compter sur Baiyok, elle est disponible et répond à toutes vos demandes et même plus! 😜Elle parle un très bon anglais. En fait on s’est senti bienvenus, comme à la maison! La chambre était très bien, grande et propre (ménage fait tout les 2 jours avec changement des serviettes) et le petit déjeuner Thai : un délice! Salle commune avec Thé, café et petit gâteaux, et un frigo partagé 👍
