Superb location a minute stroll from Nishiki. Apartment is spacious, tidy and neat. Nearest subway exit (16) has only steps so best to find a different exit if you have heavy luggage. Would have been good if sufficient extra towels were provided for all guests especially for long stays. Customer support is very helpful.

Excellent little apartment for a compact family of 4.
Great clean room.
Love the mini kitchen.
And the bathroom was excellent.
We didn't understand the unusual check-in arrangements. Make sure you Check-in near Kyoto station before you head to the apartment. Nonetheless they we're very helpful in fixing the check-in mistake. It's a great apartment in a great location. 5 Stars from us.

First off, just to manage expectations, there are no service staff on site but they do provide a phone where you can call if you do need assistance. check in reception is also not on site but somewhere opposite of kyoto station. having said that, check in was a very pleasant process. they sent a very cute minibus to ferry us from the check-in reception to the actual place of stay.
there is a self service luggage storage area near the entrance within the building so you could store your bags if you are checking out but still want to explore Kyoto abit more.
checking out is just by way of key drop at the accommodation itself so is quite convenient.
the place itself was huge and very clean. comes with a fully equipped kitchen. has a huge bathroom with separate toilets, wash and bath area.
the unit i stayed in has a living area with 2 bedrooms on both sides. the smaller room has 1 double bed and the larger room has 2 double beds.
the place is very quiet and cosy. perfect for resting and getting ready for the next day of adventure.
While from maps, it appears to be in the middle of nowhere, it's location is actually very near nishiki. abt 3mins walk to the end of nishiki market.
it is about 6-7 mins walk to the subway or buses is abt 6-7mins.
walking to karamachi is probably abt 15mins.

At first I was put off by the need to check in at the reception counter in Kyoto Station but they make it seamless and easy with shuttle and luggage storage service. We were able to spend time shopping and dining around the area and when we were ready, grabbed our luggage and hopped into Hello Kitty shuttle! Resi Stay Kuon was clean and a newer property so wear and tear at a minimum. Nishiki market was only blocks away! Was able to buy some steaks and cook it with the provided kitchen ware. We had the perfect stay!
