GuestHost - Historic Elegance - Apt in the Heart of Udine

Ero a Udine per lavoro qualche giorno e ho trovato questo gradevole appartamento, in posizione strategica per visitare il centro città nelle pause di servizio. Non è agevole trovare parcheggio nelle vicinanze, meglio portarsi al parcheggio pubblico Magrini, a 500 mt, con tariffe buone. Per la consegna delle chiavi ho atteso un incaricato del tenutario, che mi ha illustrato brevemente come aprire il portone d'ingresso (l'edificio è quello di un palazzetto storico), la porta d'entrata del vano scale e quella dell'appartamento. Sbaragliamo subito ogni fraintendimento: non è un alloggio adatto a coloro che hanno problemi di mobilità. I due piani hanno vani scale ampi. con diversi gradini e non è possibile utilizzare l'ascensore - solo per i condomini. L'appartamento è arredato con gusto e sobrietà, con condizionatori. Siamo sui sottotetti e perciò ci sono travi a vista, lucernari e belle finestre con balconi a libro. Letto confortevole, silenzio, un bagno funzionale. La cucina ha una fornitura essenziale ma poco attenta: per esempio non ho trovato un cavatappi, non era neanche possibile aprire una bottiglia. Poche le prese a succo (attacco alla tedesca) ma ci sono stato più che bene, torno a dire. Potrebbe comunque esser migliorato. Il rapporto qualità-prezzo è di buon livello; ottimi i servizi limitrofi per bar, ristoranti e supermarket.

Secondo piano senza ascensore; sfacchinate con le valigie. Cucina poco fornita.

Entire property is facing the street and it was impossible to sleep with open windows (which in June would have been very nice) due to street noise. There is a washing machine, but not a drop of washing liquid. We bought and left a bottle. There were glasses but not a bottle opener - we bought one and left it for the next guests to use and not having to ask the neighbours to borrow it. One of the bedrooms has got an air-conditioning unit but the other one doesn't. If both bedrooms are supposed to offer equal comfort level it would be better if the second bedroom is also equipped with an A/C unit. We stayed for 5 nights early June with a friend. Host was very nice - friendly, punctual, on time to hand over the keys. We left at 10.00 hrs, which was the check out time and a very friendly lady was waiting outside in the corridor to come in and do the cleaning. Place was very clean.

I loved the location in particular!

Nothing I didn’t like. I did long for a balcony occasionally though.

The apartment size was good overall. The skylight was nice and the location was really close to the main square in Udine.

The elevator was not operational which was a minor inconvenience most notable when packing bags on the first and last days. Also, the shower was a little too small.
