The location was perfect, just a few minutes walking to the station so that’s really convenient. Eating out is pricey so it was great to have the kitchen as an option to cook. The balcony was nice because you can step out for a smoke or fresh air and the view is nice. The host provided a video link to explain check in procedure and that was super helpful.
Unfortunately, for the price this might be the relative standard of quality for the area but I’ve stayed in hostels and pensions that were much cheaper and more comfortable. The bed is a pull out sofa that dips aggressively in the center and at the feet making sleeping difficult and uncomfortable. We actually considered moving the mattress onto the floor just to be able to lie flat. The glass doors are single pane and not well insulated so the room feels very exposed to the weather and noise outside, the noise isn’t terrible but combined with the uncomfortable bed it makes any disturbance (like the midnight church bells) rouse you out of whatever fitful sleep you try to find. It was very cold the nights we stayed and the heating wasn’t working, the host told us there was another radiator in the closet but we found nothing except a small standing fan. In anything except very mild weather I feel the apartment would be freezing (in winter) or stifling (in summer). It would have been nice for the WiFi information to be left out somewhere convenient but my husband had to mess with the router box and figure it out for himself because even when asked the host only said it was on the box even though there are multiple boxes and we didn’t know which network to try and connect to. Overall I understand the area is expensive so this might be considered a very economical rental, it was certainly the cheapest option we found when looking but since it was an apartment and not a hostel I didn’t expect more comfort.
