Hidden Gems in Buda

I had a lovely stay in this studio apartment. The location was excellent, as it was close to all the shops and offices I needed to visit to sort out some personal matters. The studio is nice and spacious, situated in a unique block of flats surrounded by plenty of greenery, offering a peaceful and quiet atmosphere. It is also within walking distance of public transport, a shopping centre, and some lovely bakeries and restaurants in the area, making it a very convenient place to stay. The host was super helpful and provided clear instructions on how to access the building, find the keys, and locate the studio apartment within the block, which made checking in very straightforward. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay and appreciated the convenient location, peaceful surroundings, spacious studio, and helpful host. I would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-located place to stay.

My only minor issue was the washbasin in the shower room, which I found a little small and positioned quite close to the bathroom cabinet. I had to be careful not to bump my head when using it. One small suggestion would be to clarify in the arrival instructions that 31/B is the best address to give to the taxi driver, as this would make finding the property even easier.

Pillows, duvet/bedding are very low quality and doesn't help to get a good sleep. Check-in instructions could be simplified and check-out (kick-out) bang on at 10:00:01 seconds could be a bit more flexible. The bathroom boiler has a massive spider web around it, and needs a bit more attention in cleaning.

I had a pleasant stay at this property — it’s nice, comfy, and well-kept, which made my visit genuinely enjoyable. It’s best suited for a 2–3 night stay, as the shower and bathroom area can feel a bit uncomfortable for longer visits. That said, this is exactly why the place offers great value for money — you get a comfortable stay in a lovely neighbourhood at a fair price. I stayed on 14 July, and the person who was on call after 4pm was absolutely exceptional — extremely helpful and went above and beyond to resolve my concerns. Her support genuinely improved my stay. The location is wonderful if you want to experience a quieter, more authentic side of Budapest. The street sits in the elegant II District, with historic buildings, leafy streets, and a relaxed Buda atmosphere. It’s peaceful and residential yet still close to the city centre and well connected by public transport. Being someone who grow up in the V. District 30 years ago we I really appreciated seeing this calmer, more sophisticated part of the city again.

Just a heads-up for future guests: the apartment is essentially a basement unit, so it has very limited natural light. Not a major issue, but worth knowing in advance. Communication was mixed. There are two managers working in shifts, and reaching the right one during their swap can be a bit tricky, which caused some minor inconvenience, but maybe it only happened as I booked my stay on the day at 1pm ...

The apartment in terms of quality (bed, equipment, kitchen, bathroom) was good, and the location was excellent for me. Also, it was quiet during my stay.

The first evening it was very hot in the room, so I tried to lower the temp, but there was no way to do it. I reached out to the contact person, who told me they can't adjust the temperature, only the owner can, who is not available (this was around 7 pm). So I spent the evening in a 26 Celsius degrees room. Opening the windows didn't help, as the heating system was set, and maintained the temp. Later I requested a refund for that specific night, but they refused. Eventually it was Booking.com who refunded it for me. So in terms of customer service and taking responsibility, poor performance.
