The lush green garden with age old shady cover for a cool atmosphere in the open without a A/C Spacious living and dining rooms with a well equipped kitchen. Within reach to the famous stretch of Cashorina beach and the Island fortress Hammenhiel. Virgin beach Kovalam much closer to be explored as well. The Owner Kami was in contact from the moment we made the booking and did all possible to see that we were taken care of by arranging delicious home made traditional yummies from the neighbor delivered hot at the time convenient for us and of our choice. Care taker Ajith and his sister were very helpful and attentive to our needs.

The property is situated in the Island and the Caretaker came in a motorbike to guide us from a landmark point when we reached the island. The property is set distant to local shops, so make sure you take some food stuff for the stay unless you have your own vehicle. Very clean and neat property and Well maintained Comfortable large rooms x 4 with Air-conditioning in all rooms. Beds are large and comfortable Fresh towels provided, (but may need to prove more towels to cater for the total number of guests ) Fully equipped kitchen, suitable for Asian families used to European living 2 separate Toilets/bath or shower were, shower fully working with hot water facility. Nice set up around the house with many well maintained trees in the large garden and swing chairs, kids may love it It is note worthy that the Care taker doesn’t speak English but was very accommodating, this wants a problem as the Property owner was very much on the ball with managing the booking and kept in constant contact with us via WhatsApp until we reached the property and checked out. She lives in the UK, hence fully aware of the needs of tourists.She also provided us with local tourist info, which was very useful. Accommodation doesn’t usually provide meals but the Property owner did arrange local style breakfast from a neighbour as per our request for additional fees, the breakfast was simple but was tasty. We were also serviced complimentary sweet king coconut drinks on arrival, which was very refreshing. We managed to make Barbecue dinner in the garden area one night and no issues with that by the care taker. Apparently the Beach is only 1km away, but unfortunately we didn’t have the chance to visit the beach. We had a comfortable stay and we would certainly recommend this property for family accommodation.

For a property so distant from shops, it would be better if breakfast is provided as standard

The owner Kami was doing her best to make sure that we were comfortable and homely, a special than to Ajith who attended to our needs.

The road is to be done, but it is not the properties fault, the Municipal council has to make improvements.

A very beautiful villa that has been renovated to an exceptionally high standard. We ended up staying here for a week because it was such a wonderful place to relax. The location is excellent for exploring the local area which is very beautiful and a welcome change of pace to the south of the island. We have been in Sri Lanka for 3 months and this was definitely the best accommodation we stayed at. We got regular messages from the host Kam checking everything was ok and if we needed anything. If your looking at exploring the Jaffna peninsula, I would highly recommend staying here.
