The surrounding was exceptional for a nature lover. Its located in a peaceful forest environment with minimal artificial world. Since my main interest was bird photography , this was a great place to capture dry zone village birds. The resort is only few min away from the park entrance and one can rest untill last moment in the morning to enter the park.
It has all the essential facilities but no AC in the room. It may be bit uncomfortable for a person not accustomed to dry warm tropical weather. Its not a luxury hotel but ideal for camping type experience.

Sehr ruhige Lage in der Nähe des Wilpattu-Nationalparks (abgesehen von der natürlichen Geräuschkulisse im Dschungel), außerdem sehr zuvorkommendes Personal. Einfache und rustikale Zimmer in verschiedenen Häusern. Eine Safari kann auf Wunsch organisiert werden (Kosten Stand 09/2026 ca. 150€ für 2P. den ganzen Tag).
Zimmer waren doch recht einfach und rustikal. Abendessen und Frühstück müssen aufgrund der Lage praktisch unweigerlich dort gebucht werden und waren für Sri Lanka verhältnismäßig sehr teuer (3800 LKR / 2 Personen / Mahlzeit), wenn auch lecker und abwechslungsreich.

Goed bed met prima klamboe
De weg ernaartoe is bijna niet te rijden voor gewone auto’s. Geen restaurants in de buurt, maar er wordt wel lekker gekookt. Alleen koud water.
