The Spice of Life

Breakfast was very good. We had some good options and liked mixing it up each day. The pub and rooms were clean and the staff was super friendly. We were worried at first that the music might be loud at night, but it really wasn't an issue and we loved the atmosphere. This is our favorite area to stay in London and will definitely stay at Spice of Life when we return. We have already told some friends who travel to look into a stay here.

I really can't think of anything that's missing. We even came down to order food and have it delivered to the room and the staff took care of it. Maybe having someone pick up dishes after eating in the room? We didn't want to leave in the hallway, so we just brought them back down to the pub. Honestly, that is trying to find anything to improve since we loved our stay.

Everything! A very good choice for our 3 night mini break. Fantastic location, good quality, well appointed room with little extras that made all the difference. It was a little more money than we have paid previously to stay central but as we were staying 3 nights, it was worth every penny. Air-conditioning, fabulous shower/bathroom, iron and ironing board, DAB radio, comfortable bed, tea making and Nespresso coffee machine plus biscuits and 2 large bottles of water in the fridge, which was an absolute winner in this heat! Yes, there is a little noise if you have the windows open (but let's remember where the hotel is!) but once you close them and the secondary glazing, all goes quiet but we personally love the hustle and bustle! We slept really well too. The Spice of Life will now be our go to place to stay! Thank you!

Charming room and place. Not quite a hotel but enjoyed it.

Needing a key to exit building was annoying.

Lovely room with great decor. The staff were helpful and friendly. The location is bang in the heart of theatre land.

We were woken at 6 am by the pub changing its barrels. This went on for most of an hour. We were offered an hour late check-out, but this definitely spoiled our enjoyment of the stay. The room was provided with earplugs, but the vibrations ran through the whole building.
