The lady that looks after the property is extremely friendly. The location is only a short 10 min walk into town
The surrounding dogs in the neighbourhood at night can be noisy but that is not the accommodations fault

The family and especially Tania was a great hostess - patient, attentive and always helpful. I got pretty sick during my stay and was brought food, tea and water during this time which is above and beyond anything that could be expected at a hostel. The dormitory was clean, almost empty and pretty close to the city center. Tania will also help guide you to attractions in the area as her husband is a tour guide.
The dogs in the area bark a lot, but that goes for anywhere in Huaraz. Also the water in the shower was difficult to adjust to a comfortable temperature, but can be managed.
