Grove Inn

The room had a window that could be opened, with an electrically operated sun blind! This is extraordinary for London. Though it could only be reached over stairs to the 2nd floor it was just excellent, spick-and-span and with a clean and proper own bathroom with a spotless shower cabin. The bed for two somewhat narrow but comfortable. Downstairs a sports bar with seven beer sorts and one cider. Access to all is granted by a mail providing the code to the premises as well as to the room. We slept with open window due to the summer heat and fresh wind coming in at night but hey, the neighbourhood is so quiet, that was amazing. Busses to the center go nearby, alimentation and restaurants and cafés nearby, a dream. Will always happily stay there again when in London. This was our 3rd visit to the town.

There was no real disturbance, only one false alarm one evening that turned out to be a known problem that is to be fixed soon.

Property was just right for my 3 day stay. Definitely worth the money, it’s not a high class stay but it was comfortable and in a great location of lots to do. The area is quiet. Loved that they have a pub downstairs with great staff. Sam helped by getting key code for the room a little earlier as I had an event to get to in the day - All in All I would come back again.

I stayed when it was a heatwave weekend and had one of the top rooms. Could had done with air-con but I’m sure that would be a big investment for them. But the fan in the room just about made it. Apart from that I enjoyed my stay.

It was a modern clean room, has good electronic security for the rooms, very clean and well maintained. Liked they had kitchen facilities and ironing equipment. One on the main road, public transport is easily available

It’s in a area which is a estate and next to a pub, that’s not the fault of the location to be honest, the kitchen area is shared and it feel like some people live there, they left dishes in the sink to the top.

Good location for my stay. Easy to find.

The mattress was very uncomfortable. Just a sheet on the mattress no topper so you could feel the lumps and bumps and very thin pillows. Was hairs and crumbs on the duvet when I arrived. Room much smaller than advertised and not similar to the picture at all. Bring your own towel the one provided was rough. Previous guest belongings and dirt were in the bedside table to the room was not cleaned/checked correctly before my stay.
