The Bodhi Tree Resort

They dont change bed sheets. They dont clean your room. They dont clear the dustbin. They are always on mobile lazing. Never accept 1st floor room if you are considering this place Staff makes a lot of night sleeping in the nearby room. Inverter makes noise all night all day. Water leaks from ac: both indoor and outdoor units making the place slippery. They dont put buckets. They simply dont care. Raquib, the caretaker needs to improve their service. He washed our plates in kitchen and helped with luggage.

Value for money

Spacious room, balcony, good view , near to Chapora river and Morjim beach, good restaurants nearby for breakfast and dinner, its like aGoan home. Staff is polite and helpful Sayyad, Chandu and Mr. Suraj Thanks I will visit again

My room was fabulous…large, spacious balcony, very pretty bed drapes to welcome me. Starting with cleanliness: The room itself was clean. The desk surface was clean, the floors didn’t feel resort-clean, and the bathroom was not resort-tidy… although it was clean. Let’s talk location. I’m a walker so this tucked away “non-resort” apartment bldg was not a challenge for me. But for many it will be. And the road leading to it is not paved as you would expect from a “resort” road. As well, it’s close to a beach that is absolutely dirty and littered. So to get to real stretch of clean beach, plan on a 20-25 min walk. Again, I’m a walker, so 20-25 is loss to clean beach and therefore it still got its4-stars. It isn’t close to any taxi stand, no pilots in the vicinity. No relation on hand to get a ride. So location is actually quite hidden and off-the-beaten path. Staff: were very present and helpful upon arrival. They kept my bags at the lobby with my early arrival and carried my bags up a flight of stairs to the room. No elevator at this “resor”t. Staff was MIA in the morning. And into the afternoon. They were present upon my return at night, playing video games on the couch while delivering responses without lifting their focus off the devices. Any resort would have someone at the reception desk 24-7. That someone would make eye-contact with guests as they deliver responses. Staff of a resort or a basic hotel would greet guests as they walk back into the hotel premises. Facilities: I’ve mentioned a few missing items that come standard with resort experiences. Perhaps the most distracting was how unkept and untidy the shared kitchens are on each floor. Resort or no-resort, a kitchen should be clean, tidy, freshly painted and welcoming. Part of the staffs duty is to maintain that look for guests. Including having signage that reads PLEASE KEEP KITCHENS AS BEAUTIFUL AS YOU FOUND THEM…. I’d say the bodhi tree is a hostel of sorts, a Barcelona auberge of sorts, with its hippee garden lounge sofas, its broken tile pathways, its quaint balconies overlooking trees, and each room with its private attached bath. It’s no resort, but it’s a recommend if you would like a chill space near morjim
