Alles galmde nogal door de gangen. Als je gaat vraag dan een kamer iets verder van de receptie want je hoort echt alles.

The hotel looked to have been recently refurbished and to a good standard too. The location was superb, right in the heart of Livorno. It was near the bus stop when getting a bus to the train station as well as only being aminute or two away from the main streets in Livorno. However, the hotel was still tucked away from the main noise. You may only hear the odd passing scooter or another guest ringing the main door to be let in. The were very friendly and extremely helpful, one of whom spent time given us detailed information about places to visit.
Only minor things: the towels in the bathroom were never changed despite leaving them on the floor (maybe it's because it was out of season). Despite receiving juice free of charge (instead of the free coffee), I was told I had to pay for the juice for the final day. Which actually was nearly as much as the cost of the breakfast.

Abbiamo trascorso le vacanze natalizie all'Hotel Modi trovandoci veramente bene. La struttura è piccolina, ma accogliente e rinnovata elegantemente da poco. La nostra camera tripla n 205 è di buone dimensioni con un comodo letto matrimoniale e un letto singolo king size. Anche l'arredo della camera è di buon gusto con specchio,scrivania, lampade antiche, comodini con ripiani,una comoda poltrona, un divanetto in pelle e un armadio non troppo grande. Ulteriori extra graditi sono stati il frigo bar funzionante, il bollitore con bustine di the e camomilla e la cassaforte. Il bagno è piccolino e infatti manca il bidet; in compenso la doccia è ampia e si è rivelato utile anche lo scaldasalviette. La camera non affacciando su alcuna strada ha consentito riposi tranquilli. Il riordino dei letti è giornaliero e ogni volta che si gettano gli asciugamani vengono prontamente sostituiti.
Abbiamo optato per la colazione a 3 euro nel bar dell'hotel consistente in una brioche veramente fragrante ( a scelta tra pistacchio, crema, vuota e marmellata) e una bevanda a piacere ( the, caffé, capuccino etc).
Un ringraziamento particolare va alla signora Antonella che ci ha fatto sentire accolti, si è prodigata nell'aiutarci e nel consigliarci sui ristoranti, su cosa visitare a Livorno e altre chicche che hanno arricchito la nostra permanenza. Persone così danno quel " quid" in più rendendo gli hotel meno impersonali.
Le nostre vacanze a Livorno sono volate via velocemente e se dovessimo ritornarci sicuramente ci piacerebbe nuovamente prenotare al Modi. Bianca, Emanuela, Enrico.
L'acqua della doccia non era caldissima; inoltre occorrerebbero delle mensole in più sia in doccia che in bagno per riporvi i propri effetti personali. Altri appendini nell'armadio della camera sarebbero utili.
Il wifi è un po' lento, ma è una costante dei locali di Livorno.
Mancanza di ascensore, ma le camere sono comunque al primo piano e per gli ospiti disabili c'è il servoscala.
