As we didn't meet the host an information sheet would have been helpful

Nothing really.

Was a mess. Garden over grown. No host. House wasn’t locked. We just had to keep or room door locked. Thought it said breakfast included but wasn’t any. Had to park a ways up the street. Room was just a little bigger than the bed.

The home was clean. The kitchen was tidy. The room was made up with towels on the bed ready for use. Entry was easy, the door was unlocked and open. The location is great for those who want to connect in the local area.

It was cold. There was a heatpump but no remote. I did ask the owner and they responded no heating, cheap price. This to me is unacceptable when the temperature at the time was around 7 degrees and raining. I would suggest this would not meet the healthy homes requirements. There were wet towels on the bathroom floor. The towels on the bed were damp. Unsure to the reason for this but perhaps because all the windows were open when we arrived or they were not dryed correctly. Some windows we could not close and a ranch slider was open when we arrived, and it was raining. Also I noted there are no fire alarms anywhere, a concern for a shared sleeping environment. To resolve the heating issue we borrowed a heater from a friend in the area. If the owner wants to save money I would suggest including the heating and increasing the cost to cover this expense. I know low prices can be a magnet to people, but this is below standard in winter where people pay money to sleep.

Bumped into host outside, lucky, would've probably called as the signage for the property wasn't clear.

Leider haben wir die Vermieterin nicht kennengelernt. Die Haustür war nicht abgeschlossen, als wir ankamen. Das teilte uns die Vermieterin mit, als wir sie anriefen: Wir sollten einfach ins Haus gehen. Außer unserem Zimmer war noch ein Einzelzimmer vermietet. Der Kontakt zu diesem Mieter war nett.
