Weaver, woodland lodge with hot tub for 12

Lovely, clean and spacious! Well equipped with needed items. Comfy beds. Plenty of natural light. Easy check in and out. Peaceful location.

Not dislikes. A few suggestions: having a downstairs bedroom would have been great to have a more accessible shower downstairs opposed to bath, says shower room on floor plan. No hairdryer, but fan was useful as hot upstairs. Very creaky bed in on-suite room.

The lodge was excellent. Very clean and well appointed. The location was perfect for our family trip to Alton Towers. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay once we got there.

The estate would benefit from a small play park for children. We also didn't realise that there was a large fridge freezer and washing facilities in the locked room at the front door. As our lodge was already open for us on arrival we assumed the locked door was a cleaning cupboard for staff use. It wasn't until our last day that we discovered this. We also found the information on check in, before we arrived, very confusing. There was a lot of information and conflicting instructions regarding when to check in. I found this stressful. Apart from a check out time, we couldn't find any instructions for checking out. A simple information sheet in the lodge with essential information about the facilities and what to do when leaving would be useful.

The property was clean and had all we needed for our stay. We were a large group of 3 families staying and it suited us well. The kitchen was well equipped and were able to cook whilst we was there. Hot tub was checked daily, and the log fire was lovely, especially on a cold December. We took our dogs and enjoyed lovely walks in the woodland, and a stroll to The Star pub down the road. Really enjoyed our stay.

Nothing specifically about the property itself, but the property isn’t enclosed by a fence , so have to be aware when staying with pets. Although the hot tub did have a fixture to attach a lead, to secure a dog whilst enjoying the hot tub.
