The Lyttle Cottage

Very close to the port-6 mins without traffic Very close to shops and restaurants and the best Chinese takeaway I have ever had Very cosy and warm cottage, very old with the charm and quirkiness of an old building. You need to accept that when staying. Comfortable beds and lounge furniture Everything you need for a comfortable stay Dog friendly which is great and hard to get sometimes. We would definitely come back

This is NOT dislikes but worth mentioning for other travellers It is very very close to a busy road-did not bother us at all, was still easy to get out in the morning, and I was in the bedroom nearest the road. Slept well and I am a fairly light sleeper The garden is not at all enclosed if you have a dog-we just walked ours in the garden on an extending lead, no issues. Its a tight driveway for some but we got my Ford Custom LWB in and out with direction-would be difficult on my own though. However, even a large car should have no issue. The windows are old fashioned, single glazed latch locks and not really secure enough to leave open at night-as long as not too hot, not an issue. These are part of the charm of the house. I understand why they haven't been changed. If you like a modern soundproofed stuffy box on an estate this cottage is not for you. Needs a wee bit more thorough cleaning but by no means was it dirty. Just some dust and fluff. Clean though for a dog friendly cottage. Could do with a few more, bigger towels but we managed fine with what was there. The price reflects all of this and is excellent value for money.

Lack of towels & no dining table.

Great contact from Maura, the property was well presented inside and clean.

The noise from the main road due to single pane windows. Mattresses were a bit soft but that's personal preference.

Everything location, amenities, the hostess Maura was a delight and the rooms were top notch.

Nothing it exceeded our expectations and we have it booked again in six days.
